I believe you nailed it. This is abuse. This is as wrong as it can be. If my kids were in this class they would be pulled immediately and homeschooled.
Sodomy, oral sex, and "normal" intercourse are also legal in the state.
Should they be discussed in second grade? Why not first grade. How stupid are these teachers and administrators? (No answer required to last part).

Yep those of us above a certain age were raised in the Dark Ages, before you were required to discuss homosexuality in schools.
A gay marriage should be as unremarkable and natural, even beautiful, to people of all ages as heterosexual marriages if gays are not to be second class citizens looked at askance when children grow up.
At least that is and must be the gay agenda unless you can set the inferior status of their views in stone and permanently shut them up no matter how hard they press. If they press harder it could require draconian measures. If you accept even a bit of their open expression, you will get it all in decades or generations.
That is the conundrum.
I have family and friends in Lexington, MA. The town is lovely and filled with reminders of American history. Unfortunately, though, Lexington is a bastion of liberalism--in no small part because of its proximity to Cambridge, MA. A number of professors from Harvard and MIT have chosen to live in Lexington, away from the college town atmosphere of Cambridge, and they have worked overtime to inject their far left bias into that otherwise charming town. Obviously, the Lexington School System, once one of the finest school systems in New England, has been tainted by the poisonous notions of those who consider their effete liberal views superior to those of the parents of the children who attend Lexington Schools. Parents in Lexington, MA, need to stand up to the arrogant school administrators before those administrators succeed in destroying the school system altogether.
What's next? Potter books?
Homosexuality is only about sex, this is just like any other sex ed material.

I'm glad I'm past those days, but you've definately got the right idea. Just keep close tabs on those who come in contact with your kids.
Actually, we already do. Our boys are 10 and 5, and they have no idea about this evil, although I'm starting to inform our 10-year-old about some evils in the world. We're providing our kids with a classical homeschool education. By the time they finish what we call the 8th grade they will have a 12th grade education, but not a 12th grade education of today. A far superior 12th grade education. We're doing what we can to raise tomorrows leaders.
I hope so, but this is Massachusetts.

However, I still make the point that when I was growing up no exposure to the gay agenda could have MADE me gay unless I was that way ANYWAY.I still oppose these types of books but if you are straight you are going to be that way no matter what.

The only way to stop this crap from continuing to happen is for disapproving parents to control the majority on the school boards. I hope Rob or Robin Wirthlin decide to run for the school board and can energize like minded parents to do the same.

I think that they are targeting children because they know that there are some -- not all -- that can be turned. Perhaps the kid will be bisexual, but these pervs will then have access to them. Many children go through a stage of confusion about their sexuality, and the perverts hope to capitalize on this. Those same kids may later get a better grasp of their own sexaul identity and straighten out, but, of course they will have been scarred for life.
There are probably a number of kids, such as you were, who would never be candidates, but there are probably a lot more who are vulnerable these days, considering all of the lack of parental role models and the disgusting junk that the kids are exposed to now.
BTW, I am certainly no expert in this area, just a mother of 4 grown sons and an observer of culture and human behavior.
