I'm listening to Tony's radio show now. He keeps mentioning that his wife and kids have the final say on his decision, since they and his faith come first with him.

The press problem starts higher up the food chain than McClellan. Blaming McClellan for problems is like blaming your television for what's available for viewing.

And now the Presidents approval rating is dirt thanks in part to the PR effort that he was a big part of. That's not saying he is 100% at fault for the poll numbers, but his lack of testorne and putting the media verbally in their place as critical times no doubt compounded the problem.

I think they are just moving Rove into the background more again as we approach the next presidential elections.

The compassionate conservative side of Bush has turned out to be a bit too liberal for much of the Republican party, and the liberals hate him despite many of his policies being in step with their goals.

With our polarized politics, a a moderate or liberal Republican just ends up being disliked by the majority of Americans. Therefore I think a lot of those who have been closely involved with Bush's presidency are going to be moving to the background because Presidential candidates don't want to be associated with them as they approach the primaries.

I agree. The American people have developed a WWF mentality. They don't want the "Good Guys" to be nice to the "Bad Guys". They want them to kick the "Bad Guys" in the balls and deny to the ref they did it.
