Environmental Blowhards 2006 (Ted Kennedy)
Newscentral.tv ^ | April 17, 2006 | Mark Hyman

No politician in America has a darker history with the waters off Martha's Vineyard than Senator Ted Kennedy.

The Chappaquiddick Kid has been leading a three-year old battle to stop a windmill energy farm. A Boston company proposed building 130 wind turbines over a 24 square mile area off the Massachusetts coast. The wind turbines would provide three-quarters of Cape Cod's energy needs and nearly two percent for all of New England instead of relying on coal burning power plants. Greenpeace supported the idea.

Yet big-time environmental liberals, the Chappaquiddick Kid, Robert Kennedy, Jr. and the befuddled Walter Cronkite oppose the plan. Cronkite admitted it was a NIMBY issue not-in-my-backyard. The infamous Kennedy compound, and Cronkite's seaside home are on the nearby shore. Located six miles offshore, the turbines wouldn't even be visible from land. Their opposition is over how it would affect their offshore sailing activities. Other wealthy Cape Cod residents worry the windmills might disrupt Figawi, an annual yacht regatta.

These are the limousine liberals who never feel the pain caused by their misguided nanny-state policies. Let them "take one for the team" this time!

At least Cronkite admitted he's a hypocrite. Gotta give 'em that. I think we should build a nuclear power plant in James Taylor's back yard.

They are all talk as usual. Why people continue to vote for Ted Kennedy is a mystery to me!

Cronkite, singlehandedly, turned the TET offensive victory into a defeat and hasn't put the US first since. Why he is still "respected" escapes me.

Because he continues to bring home the pork (and I don't just mean himself).

Bottom line, that's all most people judge by.

Senator Ted "The Killer Orca" Kennedy is deadset against the idea: there might be more things to run into with his sailboat while under the influence.
