"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
I did not get to go but was with them in sprit.I'm still stuck down her in S. Fla.
Tony asks about earmarks. Pence says there will be a fight. Mentions Flake, Hensarling and Shadegg. They won't support a budget resolution unless they change the way they spend the peoples money.
Who knows, I stopped trying to guess what will come next on 24, but I can't tell you this I won't ever miss a minute!!
We both know what would happen. When you endow them with Legal Status, both the Republicans and Democrats will be falling all over each other to pander to this large voting block. The pig trough will always be open for business with this block, and the virtues you list will be quickly lost.
Tony says the budget used to be boring. Pence says the nat'l debt has doubled in the last 5 years. Over 8 trillion now. We can't keep spending the way we have. (Must leave to help dog go out.)
He's right
They want names on the earmarks and votes on the floor on these projects. The leadership has agreed to the reforms, but another group balked. Tony asks about Hamas and the homicide bombing in Tel Aviv. Qatar and the UAE had given millions to Hamas. Are we taking our eye off the ball in the Middle East. Pence doesn't think so. Mentions a piece by Henry Hyde. Democracy is not a sufficient remedy. Hamas called the bombing justifiable. When you do not respect human life, democracy just becomes a vehicle for this sort of thing. (He said it much better.)
Illegal Immigration and the Federal Budget
What group?
We need names
Can you have Bill Pierce on your show for an interview? He sounds like a GREAT alternative to Dewine for us in Ohio.
Tony asks about retaliation by Iraqis against foreign fighters. Pence says he'll have a better answer after his upcoming trip to Iraq. Those blowing up the mosques are not local boys. He hopes the Iraqis will tire of the foreign influence. They are stepping forward with more tips. He hopes the trend continues. Iraq will succeed when the Iraqis decide this is enough.
I think he said a group around the appropriations committee, but I'm not sure.
By Michael Reagan
I think Fred Barnes, who has a few military academy grads in his close family, got it right last night on Fox. These generals are just doing what retired military have done since the dawn of time: reliving their exploits and criticizing those who didn't see the brilliance of their individual strategies when they were on active duty.
I think you are right to put this to bed and move on.
