First Knights Templar are discovered
April 10, 2006
LONDON: The first bodies of the Knights Templar, the mysterious religious order at the heart of The Da Vinci Code, have been found by archaeologists near the River Jordan in northern Israel.
British historian Tom Asbridge yesterday hailed the find as the first provable example of actual Knights Templar.
The remains were found beneath the ruined walls of Jacob's Ford, an overthrown
castle dating back to the Crusades, which had been lost for centuries.
They can be dated to the exact day -- August 29, 1179 -- that they were killed by Saladin, the feared Muslim leader who captured the fortress.
"Never before has it been possible to trace their remains to such an exact time in history,' Mr Asbridge said. "This discovery is the equivalent of the Holy Grail to archaeologists and historians. It is unparalleled."

I lost my house, one night. Then I sobered up.

Don't you just hate it when that happens?
Funnier still you should read the story of a guy named Joseph Smith.
Let's not go there... 'Tis a silly place.
Well, isn't that convenient!
There's a quite good novel by Umberto Eco (author of "The Name of the Rose" which became a movie) called "Foucault's Pendulum"...it's sort of "The DaVinci Code" for intelligent people...and has a sort of clever, unusual take on secret societies and conspiracies - has nothing to do with any purported family of Jesus or anything, but does center on the Templars.
It's long, and the first 50 pages are pretty boring, but then it gets good and you'll learn more about the Templars, Assassins, Rosicrucians, Bavarian Illuminati, etc. than you ever wanted to know.
That tone seems to be prevelant in the msm. One can sense the msm only judges from afar without doing real investigative work. But what else is new? lol
Totally agree, anytime the MSM gets involved the tend to screw up the facts with their stupid spin. Amen.
Thanks for the site to review.
Thy found a not from George Bush in the left hand pocket of the knights armor. It had the date of the attck on it.
We shouldnt be surprised because Jay Rockefellers ancestors went there the day before and tipped off the enemy.
Yeah, yeah. Like you never forgot where you parked your car?
Nope, if a sentence is constructed correctly, you can omit the clause separated by commas, and the sentence will still make sense.
I believe that is the recorded date when the citadel was sacked.
What? Ruin a perfectly good mishmash of pop gnostic ideas that make people a bundle of money and keeps on giving with conspiracy theory after theory, with some perfectly useful and verifiable primary source documents? why....that's just too much like honesty and integrity! Next thing we know, you'll be campaigning for family values!
Halliburton?
Even though the Templars swore allegiance to the Pope, their beliefs were not exactly orthodox. They believed that Jesus Christ had conceived three children with Mary Magdalene, who moved to France after the crucifixion. Their progeny married into royalty; hence, there existed members of the French nobility who had divine blood in their veins. The Knights Templar eventually dedicated themselves to protecting the lives of these descendants of Jesus, the Merovingians.
But when they weren't busy doing that, they managed to amass a financial empire with vast holdings. The Templars created the first international banking system. Pilgrims heading off to the Holy Land would deposit money with a local branch, in exchange for a letter of credit, redeemable just about everywhere along their route.
By the dawn of the 14th century, the Knights Templar had become Europe's dominant religious order. They were more than 7,000 members strong. They held almost 900 castles. And they controlled unimaginable wealth in land, gold, and let's not forget that Ark of the Covenant.

While I might get flamed on this, I totally agree with the Bishop who said that Christ is still being betrayed, but now it is for billions not a few pieces of silver.
