That jumped right out and smacked me too and I didn't bother to read it.
Drunk fat ted is very likely the worst senator ever.
The list is based on effectiveness and influence I think. The inclusion of Durbin however is quite odd. He doesn't fit in with the rest of the "best."
I can visualize Dave Letterman reading this list of top ten senators .... as each name is read the audience laughs louder. "And .... the number one best senator .... Ted Kennedy!" Three in the audience have to be carried out on stretchers suffering from hyperventilation.
He has shaped up pretty well recently so don't be too down on the "Happy Hour Kid".
I heard a speech by him a few months ago that conveyed a fine tribute to one of his colleagues in the Senate from Illinois. Osama Obama.....
I started reading a Time magazine while in the doctor's office last week. After just a few pages I was informed:
Bush said Saddam was in on 9-11.
Cheney waited 3 days to report his hunting accident to authorities.
I pretty much had to put it down after that.
Of course,they can't speak to average americans..We are all MORONS and unable to understand complex issues.....[my computer keys are dripping in sarcasm]
IMHO....the ONLY Senator in the top ten that deserves it it John Kyl...the rest can be moved to the lower group.
It's "Commie Time" magazine. I don't even believe the page numbers in that rag.
I agree. Come to think of it. With all this time he's in the senate, can anyone name one thing he has ever done that had a possitive impact on the nation? I cant think of one.

Well, perhaps Bunning will have a second shot at the list when he becomes eligible as an old timer...
Well, he has only killed one person that we know about.

Ted Kennedy is not only the WORST senator- he is a dispicable human.
Dick Durbin is also a poor excuse for a senator. And personally, I would not give you 2 cents for McCain or Specter.
