The law is the law. It's the same in Texas. Doesn't matter if the student is in the teacher's class or not. No teacher should be messing around with any student even if they are a Senior and of legal age.
Didn't she watch the local news and learn that other teachers had gotten caught for exactly the same thing that she was about to do?
Wow, I must have the abridged version of the constitution...
"Can't these women teachers find men their own age these days ? This is a daily/weekly thing now"
Only 4 years? Try thinking for yourself instead of repeating that "clickish" line. I am not advocating the sex, but the age is not the issue.
And she was engaged to another teacher at the same high school. Imagine what hell he's going through. Everyone for miles around will know his soon-to-be-wife chose an 18 year old kid and ruining her fledgling career over being faithful to him. Poor bastard.
Make sure you add the one at the link in post #38.
Now here s more pictures.
If that is a correct reading of the law, what crime did she commit? He was of legal age and they were not at the same school.
Just for you I'll get right on that. It will be just one small step toward getting the whole world to grow up and be refined so as to meet your standards.
Oh, please. It's called legislative intent. Their idea that this is an ethical issue, where a student in the class could be perceived or obtain favorable treatment.
This woman needs a good lawyer to have this case dismissed. She's not a teacher, she's a teacher assistant. Big Difference. That ALONE should avoid prosecution..
Here's another one.
Check out post #50.
Appears the law doesn't cover her position; and even if it did, she was not at the same school; and he was 18.
This is the guy she was engaged to.

Hey girl. Why yes there is a future wedding; remember, you promised to marry me! I'm just kidding, I guess you're already taken. Ya, we're planning on getting married next summer, 777. God's lucky number July 7 2007. How have you been? Great talking to you!!
Sacrifices have to be made sometimes....
GG, read the law already folks.
"teacher, school administrator, student teacher, school safety officer, or coach, at any age"
There. It says student teacher(which is essentially the same).
What's the idea? If he wasn't under her direct supervision, And he was 18, Where's the crime?
Yes the law covers her position and how do you know he didn't go to the same school she taught?
What is direct supervision in a high school? It changes mutltiple times per day let alone between semesters. And ever member of the faculty has some authority over the students.
