Illegals’ Rallies Alien-ate Voters (big-time backlash---Dims losing ground)
NY Post ^ | April 14, 2006 | Deborah Orin

Posted on 04/14/2006 3:13:26 AM PDT by Liz

..........voters are starting to tilt toward get-tough Republicans on immigration - and those massive protest rallies by illegal aliens waving flags have backfired.

Republicans are now more trusted on immigration - 37%trust them on the issue, while just 31% trust Democrats...........

That marks a Democratic slide from 10 days earlier, when both parties were equally trusted on the hot issue.

Thirty-eight percent said they trusted Republicans and 37 percent trusted Democrats. “The Democrats lost ground,” said pollster Scott Rasmussen. “I suspect there’s backlash against the rallies, and the Democrats appear to be against enforcement.

.............57 percent of Americans want a barrier built along the Mexican border, even though only 42 percent think it would really cut illegal immigration.

The Limbaugh Laws on Immigration:

First, if you immigrate to the United States of America, you must speak the native language.

Secondly, you have to be a professional or an investor. Unskilled workers will not be allowed.

There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, no government business will be conducted in your native language.

Foreigners will not have the right to vote, no matter how long they are here, nor will they ever be allowed to hold political office.

According to the Limbaugh Laws, if you're in our country, you cannot be a burden to taxpayers. You are not entitled, ever, to welfare, to food stamps, or other government goodies.

You can come if you invest here, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage. If you don't know have that amount of money, you can't come and invest. You have to stay home.

If you do come and you want to buy land, okay, but we're going to restrict your options. You will not be allowed to buy waterfront property in the United States.

That will be reserved for citizens naturally born in this country.

In fact, as a foreigner, you must relinquish individual rights to property.

You don't have the right to protest when you come here. You're allowed no demonstrations, you cannot wave a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies, or you get sent home. You're a foreigner. You shut your mouth or you get out, and if you come here illegally, you go straight to jail and we're going to hunt you down 'til we find you.

These are the Limbaugh Laws----pretty harsh, eh?

Now brace yourself: Every one of the Limbaugh Laws mentioned above are actual laws of Mexico on the books today----this is Mexican immigration law and how the Mexican government handles immigrants to their country.

Now isn't it ironic that Mexicans and others smeak across our borders illegally, they protest in our streets, they get on our welfare program, and members of the United States Senate of both parties, are doing handstands and back flips, going through every contortion possible to allow it to continue just so it doesn't make these illegals mad.

And, if we still refuse to enforce our laws, America is on its way to becoming a Third World Nation.

Estimados Companeros,

The troqueros in the Port of Los Angeles called for a troquero shutdown for May Day 2004, two years ago, and the Port, rails, and warehouses completely shut down. Before "La Gran Marcha" we were on track again, having a gathering on March 11 to bring together about 100 mobilizers and pushing for union recognition. There is a new group formed, the PDA, which will NOT call for a strike nor do we want it to at this time. The rest of the harbor all participate in makeshift collectives and we do take ACTION. More than half of the 12000 troqueros working the Port of Aztlan went to La Gran Marcha.

We need to know if anyone else is willing to call for a Huelga General for el dia de los obreros, 2006. It will be unfeasible to pull it off by the 10th of April. Again, we have 12,000 troqueros alone in the port and we need to include our comrades at the rails and in other harbors such as Houston, Oakland, New Jersey, etc. I fear that it will be a half-ass if rushed and would be conter-productive in our Union drive. If the troqueros mobilize for a May Day shutdown the whole world will hear about it as international commerce will come to a halt!

We need 30 days to put it together.

I don't know if this is gonna make it to any of your yahoogroups or if it is gonna bounce back to me but in case it does bounce I would appreciate the solidarity of the individuals that receive this if they could please forward. You may contact me at ejnevarez@... or can bridge the info via james demaeght at jdemaeght@...

Solidarity!

My liberal friends are as enraged as any of my conservative friends on the illegal alien issue. The democrats could very well lose many votes if voters are given a get-tough-on-immigration candidate from any party. I've been an independent all my life, but am thinking about getting active in the republican party to support NON-rino, pro-sovereign candidates.

"It makes no difference what those amendments were. Would of, could of, should of didn't happen."

It makes ALL of the difference in the world when said amendments support positions you are for, and when those said amendments are the center point of your attack on President Bush as being a Liar, or out of touch!

"Show me your links where the American people were for the McCain/ Kennedy bill? The American people are for border security #4437."

SHOW me where I said that America supported that horrid POS bill! What I stated was that America supports the AMENDMENTS, which would have reshaped the kennedy/mclame bill that is a POS! Ok? DO YOU comprehend what I was referencing (THE AMENDMENTS, NOT THE BILL ITSELF)?

President Bush stated that reid was blocking Republicans bringing Amendments to this bill, and in blocking those AMENDMENTS, reid was BLOCKING THE WILL of the AMERICAN PEOPLE. If you do not understand this by now, you are hopeless!

"Your arguments remind me of those during campaign finance reform especially when Bush signed the bill."

It appears as if you cannot read ENGLISH and comprehend the intent within that English. Having exhibited that trait; you have NO CREDIBILITY to comment on what something reminds you of.

"Everyone here thought Bush was brilliant as it went to the supreme court and they would over turn it. That didn't happen."

It will come before the SCOTUS again, and this time it will be overturned. Rowe will also be overturned one day. There is a new sheriff in town today!

"My suggestion to you is to listen to what Bush says and not what Sean, Rush, Hume or anyone else thinks he says."

I do listen to the President, and others that have a proven track record of telling the truth, and being in a position to know what the truth is. I won't listen to drive-by Bush-rant specialists!

The stats indicate the animus against illegal aliens is a consensus issue that cuts across the political spectrum. Amazingly, liberals, conservatives, Pubbies and Dims, and those in between, are equally disgusted at the Mexican-flag waving illegals demanding the rest of us subsidize their every whim.

Something else at work here, IMO, is that the hard left's hands are all over these "immigrant" protests, and they are in customary fashion, overreaching and bringing all of their communist, wacko agenda items into the issue.

It's funny listening to people interview these protestors at their rallies. It only takes a few sentences for them to get completely away from illegal immigration and start raving about the Iraq war, abortion, gay rights, tax cuts for the rich, blah blah blah. The Dims seem to think that ANSWER has snookered the public on this one about their involvement, so they think it's safe for them to show their true colors.

FREEPER ACTIVISM

EXHIBIT ONE

Boycotts by illegals and illegal advocates to hurt the US economy could be a violation of RICO laws----and prosecuted under RICO. Organized activity deliberately designed to hurt the US economy is prosecutable. Report the activities of these boycott organizing groups to the US Dept of Justice----email ASKDOJ@USDOJ.gov.

EXHIBIT TWO

Boycotts could also violate The Hobbs Act if public officials are aiding and abetting these activities----The Hobbs Act covers extortion by public officials, as follows: 2403 Hobbs Act -- Extortion By Force, Violence, or Fear.

The Hobbs Act regulates extortion and robbery, which Congress has determined have a substantial effect on interstate and foreign commerce by reason of their repetition and aggregate effect on the economy. Therefore, the proscribed offenses fall within the category of crimes based on the Commerce Clause whose "de minimis character of individual instances arising under [the] statute is of no consequence."

Primary investigative jurisdiction of offenses in 18 U.S.C. § 1951 lies with the FBI. The Inspector General's Office of Investigations, Division of Labor Racketeering(formerly the Office of Labor Racketeering), United States Department of Labor, is also authorized to investigate violations of 18 U.S.C. § 1951 in labor-management disputes involving the extortion of property from employers by reason of authority conferred on nvestigators as Special Deputy United States Marshals. Supervisory jurisdiction over 18 U.S.C. § 1951 is exercised by the following offices with respect to the offenses noted:

1. Extortion under color of official right or extortion by a public official through misuse of his/her office is supervised by the Public Integrity Section, Criminal Division.

2. Extortion and robbery in labor-management disputes is supervised by the Labor-Management Unit of the Organized Crime and Racketeering Section, Criminal Division.

3. All other extortion and robbery offenses not involving public officials or labor-management disputes are supervised by the Terrorism and Violent Crimes Section, Criminal Division.

That's odd, I live in what has become a little enclave of Mexican Nationalists, and I have never, ever, seen one US flag flying in front of any of their houses or cars.

BTW, my neighbors were conspicuously absent from the neighborhood during last weekend's demonstration in which they were able to use facilities built and paid for by the legal taxpayers of this area. I didn't see one person carrying a US flag as they straggled back to neighborhood, but the local rag showed many US flags in the procession.

No wonder Mexico wants to get rid of them, they are too easily manipulated by subversives.

When the air traffic controllers tried to shut down the air line industry, we had a president who stood up to them. President Reagan told all the strikers that if they didn't show up for work he would fire them and he did just that.

Now we have threats of illegal activity by illegal aliens on May 1. I wonder what the comparison of Reagan and Bush will be on May 2?

Your point is well taken.

Fearless prediction: when Congress acts, we'll be getting another "amnesty". It won't specifically be worded as such; but that's what it will be.

If anything, I'm even more paleo-conservative on the illegal issue than you are. But I'm also a realist. And - right now - the "reality" of things doesn't look that great from my viewpoint. I wish it did.

By the way, I assume you'll be voting for Tom Tancredo if he's on the ballot? I certainly will be.

Realise this. The Republicans are the majority of the House, Senate and we even have a Republican president.

No, Presidesnt Bush stated that Reid thwarted the will of the American people. The American people probably didn't have a clue as to what the amendments were until after cloture was voted on. We didn't know anything about what was on page #302 regarding the immigration judges, nor Jeff Sessions statements regarding how illegal felons were going to be forgiven and so on until after the fact. Bush cannot say that anyone thwarted the will of the American people when the majority of the bill was not made public. The American people were never for this mess and certainly are not now.

One point not considered...most of these 11 million voters would be concentrated where...NY state and California...plus smaller percentages in Texas and a few southwest states. In terms of the electoral college system, it shouldn't effect presidential elections as much as the Dems would hope since the effects of these voters are most seen in the Blue states anyway.

House races might be most affected(though the over all party complexion of the house will be little affected---less white anglo saxon Dem's from blue states and more latino Dem's from the same states). I don't see the Senate being changed as much. In the end, the Dems may not get any benefit at all in having these "new" voters and may even regret over time having advocating their "inclusion".

Rush is correct... people like you are either dim plants trying to "divide and conquer", or you just want to remain ignorant and uninformed. If you spent a little bit of time reading and watching Brit Hume's show, you would have KNOWN (from Michael Barrone and Bill Sammon) what was in those amendments. If I did, you can too!

Doing ANYTHING but working within the Republican Party to effect change, is to help elect dims!

That flyer and the Atzlan propaganda should be in every House and Senate GOP campaign literature. The public needs to know that the Dems not only want felons to vote but illegals too, if they can get away with it. And the MSM will make sure that voting illegally is really the new civil rights mission of holiness!! That is what liberals think that holiness , Christianity, and the Bible teaches. The Left is theologically bereft of understanding.

Show me the links where Rush, Sean, Barrone, Sammon or any of your talking heads knew about the "hidden Bombs" on page #302 of the bill prior to April 7, 2006. Show me the links where they knew what Jeff Sessions was talking about prior to April 7.

I wonder if all these facts were just going to be hidden from the American people? Give me the link to the amendment that tells about the "hidden bombs".

Do you really, really, really (REALLY?) believe that, ultimately, the legislation they enact is going to take that into account?

Yes. The American citizens, at whose pleasure these whoremongering criminal appeasers serve, will demand it. As I have stated elsewhere, this is a polarizing issue and the Congress Critters that DON'T "get it" will find themselves on the unemployment line.

I would wager that your Congress Critters are more worried about offending those throngs of illegal demonstrators than they are about offending YOU (I know that those who [supposedly] represent _me_ are that way).

You MAY have a good point but, I will wager that, after seeing the level of outrage the CCs have created by pandering to this issue, a lot of them are spending long hours in the smoke-filled backrooms trying to figure out how to backpeddle this issue in a manner that salvages their political career. In the long run, I still hold the key to their re-election, those 12 million illegals don't and NEVER WILL!!

Fearless prediction: when Congress acts, we'll be getting another "amnesty". It won't specifically be worded as such; but that's what it will be.

They will, no doubt, try that in the Senate, but I think that the House will halt any bill that includes ANY type of amnesty/guest worker/get-out-of-trouble-free provision. When an overwhelming number of Americans (nearly 60%) are as opposed to an issue as they are to this, SOMEBODY in Washington better be cleaning the crap outta their ears and listening. Right now, as long as the House remains closer to the voters than the Senate, the House reps know they have more to lose if they don't kill that language in a compromise bill. Hastert and Frist can politick all they like, the House members will ultimately make this call!

If anything, I'm even more paleo-conservative on the illegal issue than you are. But I'm also a realist. And - right now - the "reality" of things doesn't look that great from my viewpoint. I wish it did.

I think we are getting a lot of "socializing" of ideas right now to see what might fly. Traditionally, the Senate winds its own clock and marches to its own drum. As the more high profile group of appeasers, they are getting more coverage. Again, I think this is an issue that will be controlled by the House.

By the way, I assume you'll be voting for Tom Tancredo if he's on the ballot? I certainly will be.

Too soon to tell how I will cast my vote, John. There are too many things that can change between now and '08. For that matter, there are too many things that can change between now and November. We have a long, hot summer ahead. With the immigration issue simmering, Iranian nukes, and higher gas prices on the table, we could find ourselves in a major civil war if the Congress Critters don't respond correctly and effectively. We'll just have to wait and see what occurs in the coming weeks. - John Dusty
