LOS ANGELES - Tiger Woods has apologised for comments he made during a television interview after the U.S. Masters at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday.
The world No. 1, who tied for third place three strokes behind winner Phil Mickelson, was criticised for using the term spaz to describe his poor putting in the final round.
Tiger meant nothing derogatory to any person or persons and apologises for any offence caused, Woodss agent Mark Steinberg said in a statement issued on the players official website.

Most of the spazzing was done by Fred Couples; I think he missed about six puts of seven feet or less, including three-putting from 5 feet away on the 14th or 15th. At the very least, he should have tied Mikkelson in regulation.
All was as it should be......with the GOVERNMENT NOT in everyday individual disputes. Class action lawsuits were rare and words were NOT against the law and problems were solved at the most basic unit possible......the individual.
Not to mention the conflict resolution doctorate earned by most everyone who existed.
She's slicker than Richard Simmons.
We drop a "USA" on each other: "Ur Still Away!"
Why not apologize to the poor too for having more money than they do. Spaz. What an innocuous term. Especially when referring to ones self.
People who use terms like 'nerd' and 'geek should be shamed into apologizing as well, as those words are very hurtful to us gurus who work tirelessly 23 hours a day (sometimes more) to improve the internet and support the diet coke industry.
Thank goodness he didn't have a hissy fit, those hissies will hunt you down.
Tiger must be a retread dork to apologize.
I am not going to say he had a choice not to apologize, but good God it was all over the place. He just wanted to shut the people up. As soon as he apologized it all stopped. I know it is a crazy thing to apologize for but he probably figured it is just easier than hearing about it for the next five years. You know the damn media. Oopps. Did I offend you with the d word? LOL.
Ridiculous!
