What I said was- it is hard to convince the American people that the Illegal Aliens are coming here because they want to be Americans and are greatful to be here, or want to BE Americans- when what we see on the TV is ANGRY people- here ILLEGALLY- DEMANDING Rights and a say in our political process- while they wave Mexican Flags (with an American flag UPSIDE DOWN, call us racists, etc.....
This is the picture the media is giving us....This is why Americans are weary of this issue....
mostly- it is the refusal of our gov't to get control over the daily invasion of our borders......but you have a hard time convincing Americans that amnesty is good for us when the media is giving us these pictures....

You could help them by giving them opportunity in their OWN country. Their survival shouldn't be on the backs of the US taxpayer, but should be the responsibility of their own government, not ours.
You managed to defame me with the post. You don't what I give to charities in time and money, you don't the kind of money I pay because of the AMT, and you sure as Hell don't know my heart. I pay my taxes and abide by the laws of the land never asking my government for anything more than was promised under the Constitution. Secure borders and enforcement of existing laws is all I ask.
OK how do we accomplish that? I am sure they would like to stay at home amongst family and friends as well.

I have to put one more post out there for Tony and the rest to consider.
When I hear about illegals being hard working, politically passive, not a not drain on social services and on and on I gotta say so what. Isn't it the height of racial arrogance to believe you can make exception for a bloc of people because they appear well behaved and productive ergo easily controllable.
If that's the standard to be measured for determining citizenship then we are on a slippery slope here. Why? Because how is it different if these people do this in mass vs Anglos, who have a reputation for being hard working, not a drain on social services and politically aggressive? How is it different if a radio station or 20 organized people here to try their hand at a new life in the Orinoco belt region of Venezuela (believed to have greater mineral wealth than SA)? I bet we could get private firms (coyotes) to help arange the airdrop of 500,000 or so Anglo campesinos into the heart of Venezuelan oil country to find their economic pot of gold.
There is absolutely no difference between an invasion and illegal immigration. None. People who rationalize it are either engaging in racial stereotyping (mexicans won't raise political hell so who cares) or worse.
