I'm trying to remember what he made us watch...

We had three grades in the class. He gave me an F, D-, F.

After the second grade I asked him what I had to do to bring it up...and he said "Try harder."

I was really too proud to drop...and besides the lecture was a riot. It was a full-on liberal indoctrination class.
I was of course the lone dissenter and voice of reason in the class. BIG MISTAKE!!!

I think the only reason I didn't drop is because of all the attractive dumb girls in the class. (This was before I was a Christian of course)

I loved that movie. James Caviezel was very good in that movie.

"Brokeback" was nothing like the hysteria portrayed it. It was a good story...the two leads were great and the women who played the wives were outstanding.

If anything...it was a good movie about the consequences of your actions...no matter who you are.

Glad you're staying busy. Are you getting lots of hits on your "do-it-yourself" website? There's lots of good stuff there.

Wish you could send rain, too. We sure need it.

Exactly. It was about choices---and living with them

Anyone who cannot relate to that movie hasn't really lived.

I have not seen Cinderella Man..but hope to.

Walk the Line - wanted to like it, but did not. I think that Joaquin's performance was wickedly accurate - the mannerisms, the prersonality probably (I really did not know Cash personally) but I found perky Reese annoying and definitely underserving of any award. I have spoken to people who do remember her (from concerts) and the real June Carter was nothing like reese's portrayal.

OTOH Joaquin captured Cash's spirit especially in the scene at Folsom...although if you've seen the real documentary at folsom you will understand that it's only a representation of the real thing.

Thank you auggy for sharing that story. Ray dealt with alot of trouble in his life, but I think he's a unique artist.

I'm glad your wife got to see him in person! That's cool!

Thank you so much for posting that. It's great to see you in the Canteen!

Is this movie out on DVD yet or is it just a VHS thing as of now?
