There will be one among us who I am sure will welcome the rain, as it will prolly be the last he'll see for a while.:)
Crashed and burned!
"Crash" is available on cable here in my area for free. I watched it the other day. Gosh I keep forgetting that I saw stuff.
I thought that it was horrible. The entire first half of the movie had Americans from just about every strata of the country acting as complete and utter racists in virtually every endeavor of their (read our) lives.
I'm sorry, but I simply cannot agree with the Hollywood elitists who go out of their way at almost every opportunity to disparage all the rest of us with their warped perspective of ordinary Americans.
Many of those hypocrites sit in their proverbial little ivory towers heaping criticism on us the great unwashed because they are simply out of touch. I suppose that if I lived in a mansion and I had hordes of naive fans hounding me everyday for autographs and photo ops, I might myself become just a bit jaded. That is possible but I doubt it. We'll never know.
Hollywood and the weirdo left has us all pegged as ignorant and racist it seems. Watching some of the product from that cesspool sometimes euphemistically called Tinsel Town I'd use my own designation but prudence and a desire to keep being permanently banned from FR hinders me from expressing it here.
Hollywood would have the world think that America is nothing more than a stronghold for racism, and a place where slavery is revered, and subliminally practiced if not worse.
Someone ought to advise the weirdos on the left side of the political spectrum that America, and western Europe were actually the most powerful forces in the world involved in actually ending the practice of slavery. The battle continues in some places. Nowadays we must do something about the slavery of the minds which the propagandists on the left continue to utilize.
That is how I see it.
....and for dessert cake, cookies & whatever Grandma brings.:)
You forgot the /rant off tag but otherwise well said. :-)

Love the hibiscus...now I'm going to have to share some high Sonoran Desert flora...
We're getting a lot of color, too, but I need to look up names. I keep forgetting what our landscaper said he put in!
I wonder how many folks know that that is also an Arizona picture?
Well,

Good evening!

April and October...you just can't beat those two months for perfect weather here...
You are surely right. And summer is coming to the sandbox. No more chocolate! d:o(
He said the first thing the Iraqi kids ask for is water; and if they are offered a Hershey bar, they refuse it at first; they don't know what it is.
I cannot disagree with any of what you have said specifically about Crash (embarrasingly awful)...and more generally about the sad state of affairs in the film industry.
But you know--- let them keep making this junk...the American public gets increasingly offended by this fakery from the flunkies in Follywood.
What I do worry about is that the rest of the world really believes the baloney they see on the screen...in their ignorance about America they buy into this propaganda. Stalin/Lenin was right: film must be used to advance the revolution.
You forgot the /rant off tag ....
Yeah I did leave off my rant tags.
I wish that I had more time to rant. That day is hopefully coming soon. Not that I want to offend anyone on purpose.
The church where I'm playing tonight has a display set up in the gathering space of pictures of all the young people of the parish who are active duty military. I always stop and say "hi" to Ev and pray a while for the safety of all those fine young soldiers. Their pictures are also under the altar cloth, and their names are published once a month in the bulletin, along with a request for prayers for their safety.
See ya later.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Confessed al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui said Thursday it made his day to hear accounts of Americans' suffering from the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and he would like to see similar attacks "every day."
Moussaoui told jurors that Islam requires Muslims to be the world's superpower as he flipped through a copy of the Koran searching for verses to support his assertions.
"We have to be the superpower. You have to be subdued...."
Oh Mozie that sounds terrific! I was gonna ask you if you were feeding an army! lol At least one soldier anyway!
How do you prepard the sausages? I wish I had though of lamb but I've already got a ham!
Oh please do! It's amazing how prolific hibiscus is here isn't it.
