The White House faced new questions Wednesday about President Bush's contention three years ago that weapons of mass destruction had been found in Iraq.
The Washington Post reported that a Pentagon-sponsored team of experts determined in May 2003 that two small trailers were not used to make biological weapons. Yet two days after the team sent its findings to Washington in a classified report, Bush declared just the opposite.
"We have found the weapons of mass destruction," Bush said in an interview with a Polish TV station. "We found biological laboratories."
Bush spokesman Scott McClellan said Wednesday that Bush was relying on information from the Central Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency when he said the trailers seized after the 2003 invasion were mobile biological laboratories. That information was later discredited by the Iraq Survey Group in its 2004 report.

Insor also cited the inconclusiveness of that raw data, and cited how months afterward, George Tenent and UN David Kay still thought the labs were used to make WMD.
thats what i was going to say, can they prove Bush read the report that was only sent 2 days prior.
Why is anyone at CNN providing context? That's too much like real reporting.
We had every right to invade Iraq once they violated the treaty agreements.
We did not have to prove that WMD existed, Sadaam had to prove that they did not.
He didn't, so we had every right to remove him from power.
NOT ANOTHER REPORT ON MADE UP WMD STUFF????!?!?!?!??!
This has already been debunked and everybody got it except Nedra Picklepuss
The new rule in Washington is that if you repeat something provided to you by your top people responsible for knowing that information, you are lying.
If the attorney general tells you something is legal and you do it..only to have it questioned later... you INTENTIONALLY broke the law...regardless of the answer to the latter question.
And now this Iraqi document destroys the lies of liberal and their media reagrding Iraq WMD and President Bush.
This document below will not only back up the President side but it will destroy all the lies of liberals and their media regarding Saddam Regime WMD issue.
September 1998 Document: Secret Research Programs Related to WMD http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1613509/posts
This is yet another document that proves without any doubt that Saddam Regime never stopped working in his WMD programs and Research and they were just waiting for the opportune moment to produce these WMD again on a large scale. Also please remember that in September 1998 the UN inspectors were still in Iraq and they were kicked later on that year after some US air and missile strikes. So most definitely these Secret Research Programs related to WMD were still in existence and may have reached a more advanced stage from late 1998 to late 2002 where during this period of time there were no UN inspectors in Iraq. This document is another proof that we could have never trusted Saddam and that we had all the right to remove his brutal and terrorist regime after 9/11/2001.
This document will be the antidote to the Washington Post latest LIE that there were no biological programs and it is a very powerful proof against all the lies spewed by liberals and their media for the last three years.
BUSH LIED!! MILLIONS MORE DIED!!

Nedra Pickler needs to be told about Freeper jveritas' translations, which prove their were WMD. Never mind. She probably knows about them but chooses to ignore them.
I see AP still practices obfuscation with their headlines.
LOL--I was about to post a link to that translation, glad I read a little further down. How anyone can say we shouldn't have gone into Iraq after all you've found, is beyond me. Don't think for a minute the folks in the MSM don't know about these--they're just hoping they won't have to report on them.
WP+ABC=PURE PROPAGANDA
I just found out it was ABC's White House reporter Martha Raddish who wrongly accused the president, and she did it on the ABC Morning Show. If I had the stomach, I should watch ABCNews tonight to see if she corrects herself.
I still can't figure out how a country whose major business is oil production, which should have the capacity to produce plenty of hydrogen gas as a by-product, would use "mobile fermentation labs" to produce hydrogen for weather baloons (which is supposedly what the experts concluded these units were for). I remember as a grad student, getting a microbiology minor along with my biochemistry Ph.D., trying to cultivate hydrogen generating microbes in the lab - It would have been much easier to buy a tank of hydrogen which is so very portable and convenient.
