Maybe we could all get together here at FR, buy a couple truckloads from Home Depot right there in DC and just have them delivered to the lawn out front.

What if we sent them to the border?

Richard Neal

MA - District 2

House of Representatives

Washington, Dc 20515

Dear Congressman Neal:

Since I cannot be at your office, please throw the enclosed brick through your window for me. Thanks!

V/r,

pabianice

p.s. When you have time please let me tell you how the voters in my small, conservative town feel about being gerrymandered into your district with Northampton, MA, the self-proclaimed "militant lesbian capital of the United States".

I agree.

A handwritten postcard would be cheaper and more effective.

If you want a prank protest send pesos, they are more likely to get through mail searches, but a simple letter or postcard explaining your grievance is more likely to be given attention.

Sounds like a good idea. When they send solicitations for campaign donations send them back a cash receipt for a box of ammunition. Let them know where their contributions are going, and why. Borders, Language, Culture!

We sent Lindsay Graham to the Senate - does that count?

On E-Bay, there are these plastic "balls" that you can hang on truck/car back bumper. I am thinking very seriously of buying some and sending them to the Republican Party.......Obviously, they are lacking some.

Mexican president Vicente Fox
leads president Bush along
the path he uses to cross
the border.

Another good idea:

Send our reps Mexican flags with a note attached:
"Viva Mexico."

That should drive the message home------let's them know we know exactly whose side they are on.

What if we all mail them on MAY 1st?? Do you think that the press would understand the connection?

I like this idea. I would contribute. Maybe it could be delivered in Arizona on the border. Call the press, etc.

The Republicans plan to surrender to illegal aliens! Front page news today in dozens of news reports. The GOP wants to give up the fight in Congess on the issue of making border jumping a felony. So both parties plan to listen to border jumpers and support migrants who are in the U.S. illegally. Demopublicans are united against citizens who support stronger border enforcement. A plague on both of them! There will be no redress of citizen grievances until both parties oppose border jumpers!

The only way to change the minds of our elected representative is to take to the streets in greater numbers than the illegals.

Send a Brick to Congress

We already have - the Senators and Representatives that were elected. What will sending MORE bricks do to improve their productivity?

Ooooh, I like this idea. Or we can wrap a Mexican Flag around the cinderblock and then send both.

Maybe we could all get together here at FR, buy a couple truckloads from Home Depot right there in DC and just have them delivered to the lawn out front.

Now THAT is a workable idea. TGSL, you want to ping the DC chapter to see if we can drum something up to arrange this?

A truckload of cheap concrete masonry bricks (I'm looking at "cost for message vs. payoff", not "actual bricks that can be used to build a wall" here) from Home Depot wouldn't be too expensive (I'll call up to the local one and get a general price quote for a pallete at lunch), and we could either rent a truck for $19.95/hr to deliver it (along with some banners with a poignant, yet typically polite, message), or we could pay to have them delivered...

The idea was to time it for May 5th. Cinco de Mayo. They are currently working on the website. Looks pretty good from the test site they have set up. URL is supposed to stay limited though.

I'll post the live link once they get it up and running.

Sounds interesting . . .

A lightweight inside kiln wall brick would have been lightest and cheapest to send but more expensive to buy.
