Gee, Teddy, let's see what you said in 1985...

Senator Kennedy ''bitterly'' opposed the provision to bring in foreign workers, said an aide. It undermines immigration control, undercuts US wages, and opens foreign guest workers to exploitation.

LexisNexis is your friend!
We should hold Pro-American rallies across the country and let people like Tancredo and others speak.
Wouldn't that be a kick in the head to her Heinous.
So how are the Dem's Union buddies liking all of this?
Yep. Millions of American citizens have been watching our country being invaded by a foreign nation for 3 days now, and more are coming in as they watch!
They also know if Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton are there, these people are welfare recipients, too.
What it shows is who has influence with the Dem leadership. Apparently, illegal aliens have more influence than American citizens.
Dems sucking-up to those who can't LEGALLY vote. I'm shocked!
Despite what the polls allege, most Americans -- when asked a neutral/realistically phrased question -- oppose ILLEGAL immigration or granting amnesty.
Unfortunately for the Silent Majority, the Democrats hope to draw in new voters amongst the illegals and many corporate-backed Republicans would rather cater to an addiction to cheap, legally unprotected labor.
Neither party cares what effect this is going to have upon this country's future.
So many are now saying what I have been for a couple of weeks now. These are RAT rallies by and for RATs with the extra benefit of splitting the GOP into the sensible and the hysterical with the latter aiding the RAT attacks on the sensible.
Why not/
If they can register dead Civil War soldiers in cemetaries, why can't they register live illegal aliens?
...yeah, we're supposed to pay their F@#KING TAXES while these officials lick up to the non paying lawbreakers.
We should refuse to pay our taxes in mass and see what the Kennedies/Clintons of the world say. I'm guess that 12 million of us refused they'd CALL IN THE TROOPS and make us.
Good to know that I'm a second class citizen to a bunch of non citizens...

This immigrant competition has hit black Americans especially hard. A recent New York Times report pointed out, "In 2000, 65 percent of black male high school dropouts in their 20s were jobless that is, unable to find work, not seeking it or incarcerated. By 2004, the share had grown to 72 percent, compared with 34 percent of white and 19 percent of Hispanic dropouts."
Old civil-rights groups avoid debate on immigration
...
Yet, many blacks soft-target illegal immigrants for the crisis and loudly claim that they take jobs from unskilled and marginally skilled blacks. Black fury over immigration has cemented an odd alliance between black anti-immigrant activists and GOP conservatives, fringe anti-illegal immigration groups and racially tinged America-first groups.
Guest worker proposals divide America's unions
...
"Guest worker programs are a bad idea and harm all workers," AFL-CIO President John Sweeney said in a written statement. "They cast workers into a perennial second-class status."
Sweeney said guest worker programs encourage employers to convert good jobs into temporary ones that exploit foreigners willing to accept low wages and bad working conditions.
