Just a reminder: Free Republic is a conservative site

Posted on 04/11/2006 3:33:35 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Just a reminder: Free Republic is a conservative site. We fight for conservative principles, values and causes. We defend the Constitution. We defend our borders. We defend our God-given rights. We are opposed to the liberal/socialist/Marxist agenda for America. We do not willingly give up ground to the Marxists.

It's true that the illegal immigration issue is very discouraging, and I don't know if anyone has a solution that will appeal to conservatives and yet manage to get by Democrat obstructionism, ie, a filibuster, but I don't see that as any reason to give up everything. We should not allow it to rip us apart and destroy the movement. We fight on.

We hold the majority. We continue working as hard as we possibly can to elect as many conservatives as we possibly can. We build a conservative majority that can overcome the Democrats and the RINOs. We do not willingly give up any seats to Democrats. We add seats. Preferably, conservative seats.

I would also like to remind everyone, that Free Republic does not condone racism and does not advocate violence. We exercise our first amendment rights to free speech and peaceable assembly. We do not condemn people because of their race, religion, ethnicity, skin color, etc. We do not advocate civil war, anarchy, or an overthrow of the government. We do not advocate shooting illegals or mining the borders. We do not appreciate people coming across our borders illegally, but as conservatives, we do not issue racial epithets or threaten them with violence or bodily harm.

And, yes, we are at war. And we do support our troops and their mission. We also respect our commander-in-chief and are mindful that when people disrespect him, it hurts troop morale. We do not appreciate the mainstream media's attempts to destroy America's will to fight and we do not do anything to assist the Democrats and their accomplices in the media in their treasonous mission of undermining the war effort by providing aid and comfort to the enemy.

And despite our dissatisfaction and disappointments in regards to the illegal immigration issue, we recognize that it is not the last issue on earth and there are plenty of other reasons not to allow the Marxist Democrats to retake power.

I'll list a few issues (by no means and exhaustive list) that will be adversely affected by Marxist/Democrats in power:

Islamofascism/terrorism
National Security/Defense
The United Nations (as in their control over us)
The Supreme Court
The federal judiciary
The legislative agenda
The right to life
Marriage between one man, one woman
The family
Education
Health care
Private property
Taxation
Oil/energy
The right to keep and bear arms
The right to freedom of religion
The right to self-governance
All of our God-given rights
The Constitution
The Republic
Liberty itself

Do not get so discouraged that we give it all up. It could take generations to get it back. If ever.

"Securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" is our duty.

Unlike the destruction of fascism by the Allies in WW II, if this country slips over the edge of totalitarianism there is no one to come to the rescue. The collapse would be permanent as far as those then living would be concerned.

I can agree a lot.

However, we must MAJOR ON MAJORS and minor on minors.

Evolution will bite the dust soon as something worse is put forward.

But neither will hold sway THAT much longer.

Yeah, lots of skullduggery will get done in behalf of both schemas.

But we have bigger fish to fry. imho.

When the Marxist idiot global tyranny folks are more overtly in firmer control, both those schemas will seem like peanuts compared to . . . say death camps.

I much agree with you.

But the puppet masters will not allow it. They are determined to make of NORTH AM ONE UNITED REGION headed by one chief puppet master.

If I was in charge.

I would replace the existing voting system with one based on merit:

Please Note:
Voting rights may be included in a citizens will.

Only Legal Citizens may vote.
Every legal citizen beginning with young adults 18 years old and above would be entitled to one vote.

Lawyers, Politicians Teachers and people in prison for whatever reason
are restricted to 1 vote.

Every woman who has an abortion-1
Every citizen who adopts a child+1 when citizenship has been confirmed.
Every orphan +2

Every Citizen who pays income taxes + 1
Everyone will receive +1 additional for every $10,000 in taxes they pay to the IRS

Anyone who serves in the military+10
Anyone who serves in a combat zone+100
Anyone wounded while serving their country +10 -1,000 depending.
Anyone killed while serving their serving +1,000 posthumously
All military medals get +1 each
Similar distributions would be allowed for firemen, police officers, Doctors and nurses. (Abortionists will not be considered Doctors)

Anyone who employs people in a privately owned business +1 for every 10 employees
+1000 votes will be awarded to anyone who cures aids, throat cancer, etc.

Net result
A dope seller would not have the same voting power as someone who died serving his/her country.

A person who pays taxes would have more voting power then one who didn't.

A private in Iraq would have more voting power then a Harvard graduate, before and after graduating.

enough.....

Far too correct, you are, imho.

Toss em all out.

Get in a bunch of Jed Clampets and Granpa Waltons.

My best advice is to find out where they came from, and give them a taste of their own medicine.

There was a Sino-fascist message board-many of whose members supported the PRC tyranny in practice, if not theory-that the PWIC combated last year in a pretty effective online operation.

Once you start posting to their sites and Web forums-and begin to challenge their intellectually disingenuous, fallacious arguments-they start to cower like cornered mice.

You'll usually wind up being banned in short order, but it's worth it, IMO.

Do you or someone else have a globalist ping list?

There SHOULD BE one.

Maybe someone with very tough hide and older than 70?

" Not all republicans are conservatives."

The loonie left is deluding the working class into believing Not all conservatives are republicans.

I think that GHW Bush lost the election in 1991 when kept saying that the recession was over(technically it was)however unemployment was still relatively high and he failed to extend unemployment benefits. This played into the whole "he's out of touch with the middle class" mindset. And the scanner incident didn't help either. Carville was able to parley this into "It's the Economy Stupid"

Well, yes it did hinge on the economy... I personally don't remember the "its the economy stupid" remark. What really stuck with me was the "read my lips" stuff and just the general unease about the economy. Perot, had a can do spirit and maybe that was the appeal. Like he saw it as a challenge and wanted to take it on, GHWB saw it as a burden. Maybe voters just like an optimist.

No, I don't have one. I wish someone would start one as well.

I was just reading about Alger Hiss and the UN. One only needs to study the UN for a few minutes to know they are out to destroy our American way of life. We are a thorn in their side. They love our money but hate us with a passion.

If you hear of a ping list please let me know and I will do likewise to you.

They could not possibly do a worse job than what we have right now. The illegal immigration issue, is not just the issue. More important and devastating issue is the globalist nation killing that is the ultimate goal and is happening before our dumb eyes.

If this group of 30 million illegals is given citizenship what do we do with the next bunch of 30 million illegals? Because they are waiting in the wings to come in right behind those we have now, and are in fact wading over as we speak.

Nothing will be done about our borders, nothing that makes a difference. Now you are talking 60 million psudo citizens voting their bellies with more rights than is accorded to you. I sure would vote for Grampa Walton.

"and that is pure crap"

It is?

So you, and all evolutionists at Darwin Central, agree with the foundational belief of all conservatism...

that we were endowed, by our Creator, with certain inalienable rights?

News to me...

I agree; - it sure does "appear to be".

The border issue is coming to a head. -- Possibly a violent head.

I can see the wisdom of keeping FR's discussions on the issue above speculating about violent aspects of what might or could happen.
-- Such speculations can 'fuel the flames', and make it appear that violence is being advocated.

-- Sure, at some future point defending our borders may indeed become violent, but I doubt we need to have it said that it was instigated here at FR as any type of real solution.
