Central Point, OR April 5, 2006 – Oregon State Senator and candidate for Governor Jason Atkinson today welcomed the endorsement of his candidacy by the Oregon Farm Bureau Federation. The Farm Bureau is the state's largest general agriculture organization. Its 22 member Board of Directors met yesterday in the culmination of a 3-month process and voted overwhelmingly to support Atkinson in the upcoming gubernatorial primary.
When asked what the deciding factor was in endorsing Atkinson, OFB President Barry Bushue said, “Jason is a proven entity that has been a passionate advocate of the natural resources industry. He is running a grassroots campaign which clearly mirrors our organization.”

Bump...
Not many farmers in Multnomah County........
Good news for Jason. He was slugging it out with RINO Saxton. With Mannix getting trashed in the O, and tommrow another piece in the Willamette Week, the race may be between Atkinson Saxton. Pray for Jason!
not many republicans either... doesnt matter for the primary.
Now, if we can get a fair election in Washington...
your dreamin if you think King County will ever be fair.
A bump for Jason. A rare true conservative showing signs of success statewide in Oregon. At his age (35) if he wins the Gov. perhaps a national office is in the cards down the road.
God willing, and keep your powder dry.
King, Snohomish, Pierce or Olympia. Yup, your right about that one.
Lets just hope! People need to volunteer for him, put a lawn sign in their yard and a sticker on their car. Only way he loses is if people dont know who he is. It wont be because they like Mannix or Saxton better.
The democrats recognized his potential years ago and did that unfair wierd redistricting shortly after he won his Senate seat. Jason had to move I believe because the new district was set up obviously to zig around his home in Ashland.
The last time Oregon had a Republican with a chance of winning, Al Mobely split the party (I think he got 11%) by playing the pro-life card.
Jason has my vote. We need someone who is fresh and energetic and is not a professional politician.
Any discussions about Multnomah County and Portland? I won't vote for Diane Linn for sure.
In the 5 person race for Circuit Court Position 4, I am torn between Albrecht and Tu. I think either would be very good, but would like to hear other's views. That Kathleen Payne is running makes me want to hurl. She is unfit to be a judge or hold any elected position. Super flaming Dem liberal who is morally bankrupt and has been an ineffectual in her job with the State AG's office. She did make a name by conducting the state's longest (two years) and most expensive trial (2 million) that accomplished nothing.
