Plan to Be in Wash., D.C. on Sunday, April 23, 2006 -- Secure Our Borders Rally to be Announced Soon
Monday, April 10, 2006 | Kristinn

Please mark your calendars to be in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, April 23, 2006 for a rally calling on the federal government to secure our borders, enforce our immigration laws and to not give amnesty to illegal aliens.

A formal announcement will be coming soon after a few details are worked out. Time is short, so I wanted to give everyone a heads up that something is in the works.

Please note, this will not be a rally for those who hate immigrants. This will be a rally for those who love America and want to preserve it for all Americans and legal immigrants.

Great. What international Marxist organization is going to pay for our signs and flags? ;)

We pay our own way. Like we have always done.

If you are looking for an excuse not to show up I'm sure you will find one.

It would be great if some of us outside the city could find a ride in. Is there any chance there is someone out here that has a commuter bus or van that would be willing to shuttle some of us in?

Two weeks to plan, folks... Is there any way we can put together some kind of carpooling list for us long-distance pilgrims to connect and share the costs?

We aren't organized like the illiterate illegals are.

Everybody is, unfortunately, on their own.

Car pooling is a good idea. So are buses.

See if enough people in your vicinity are interested in going and charter a bus. Put the word out at local gun clubs.

I live on the other coast and can't make it, but HOPE there is a huge turnout!!!!!!!

Gulf Coast Bump here. Good luck to all who can make the long trek to Washington. Maybe Houston or Dallas can pull off their own Pro-American rally.

Someone at the DU has posted that there were people at the Atlanta rally registering people to vote. I wonder if proof of citizenship was required.

Of course not. That would be racist.

Must I highlight my sarcasm?

I was in SanDiego a few years ago. When taking pictures of the sunrise next to the Coronado Bridge I had hundreds of illegals run past me. I thought they were going to steal my cameras. No, they just wanted to get into the open train cars waiting to transport them all over the US.

Thanks!

I think we need to create a movement for "undocumented property owners" (thiefs)!

It is important to get out there and make a showing. Keyboard patriotism is nice, but doesn't cut the mustard. 'Pod.

I would go lightly with that 'keyboard patriotism' crack. You don't know me. But a counter protest on this issue is a HUGE mistake. Huge. I hope calmer minds prevail, because you will really damage your own cause.

Why is that?

"I really get angry when illegal immigrants try to compare their situation with that of our black people, for there is just no comparison. The black people of the USA do have rights promised to them by our constitution. The illegals are just not in the same situation at all. They are law breakers and our nation has failed us in upholding the law.
They need to go now."

Ping!!!!!

Blacks have been regarded as second class citizens in this country...
