DNA testing failed to connect any members of the Duke University lacrosse team to the alleged rape of a stripper, attorneys for the athletes said Monday.
Citing DNA test results delivered by the state crime lab to police and prosecutors a few hours earlier, the attorneys said the test results prove their clients did not sexually assault and beat a stripper hired to perform at a March 13 team party.
No charges have been filed in the case.

And I just said these defense attorneys were prepared to defend their clients irrespective of how the DNA turned out ~ and there he is ~ wasn't ol'Wade defending Jeff even after the latest round of DNA tests.

I doubt it, I really do. If the DA still wants to bring charges, you can drive a Mack truck through the hole in their case left by the lack of DNA, there's reasonable doubt coming out the wazoo, they'll probably get a change of venue because of all the publicity, the victim's (and her friend, the 911 caller's) credibility is shaky at best...naw, I really don't think anybody is going to be convicted of any type of sexual assault.
I simply don't believe a woman can be orally, anally and vaginally raped for 30 minutes in a bathroom by 3 men and there not be ANY indicative DNA to be found. No blood, no semen, no saliva, no urine, no feces?

Nifong's a real jerk -- convinced he's right in spite of the mounting evidence to the contrary. Typically, he'll waste the taxpayers money and cause the defendents unnecessary attorneys fees with court appearances. I suspect any judge seeing the contrary evidence will dismiss any charges.
I think that is a great point. They wouldn't have been in this mess in the first place had they not hired a stripper. That is entirely their fault.

Nifong is going to back out of this. I just read somewhere that he has scheduled some kind of "town meeting" over at NCCU (the black scool where the whore is supposedly enrolled) to discuss the case. I think he is about to break the bad news to them as gently as possible.
Of course this means that the whore herself will probably never be charged with anything, and Nifong will avoid making any statements publicly questioning her account. He'll just say there isn't enough evidence to prosecute and leave these young men under a cloud of suspicion for the rest of their lives.

What penalty do you assess for a false accusation? It may very well have been a false accusation.

She actually led the viewer into believing their prosecutions case was STRONGER tonight. Now, these guys used sex-toys (unknown to the woman) and she was orally raped supposedly too. The show started off with it had to be condoms.. when a local NC Radio guy delivered the bad news that none of the material tested positive for Condom materials usually found with condom usage.

This poor 18 year old kid wrote a PRIVATE E-MAIL to his friends at 2 in the morning when his was angry and stinking drunk and his own school turns it over to the prosecutor, who releases it to THE MEDIA even though this kid wasn't one of the players accused by the alleged victim, the e-mail is splashed over the front page of every newspaper in America and the poor kid gets suspended from school. Cripes! Can you say punishment enough?
I agree, just that a tit for tat may not be a likely outcome in this instance. Another case of the world is not fair.
It hurts sometimes and we have to be big enough to take it.
Who would sentence a women with her reputation to serious jail time? Would that person even put her up to trial by jury? Where would you find twelve citizens who could decide the truth between someone of her character and the drunken Duke LaCrosse team. I would not want to spend my time on this one, would you?
The same penalty that the falsely accused victim would have suffered had he been convicted.
