Just to clarify, this is a thread discussing both what is happening LIVE across the country as Illegal Immigrants protest their Illegality, and what to do about it. Let's discuss VIABLE options as to what to do about this issue. I have a sneaking suspicion that this "Protest" of American LAW is going to be pretty big. I predict that there is going to be a LOT of pandering to these 11 million or so criminals by our Politicians. I sincerely hope not. To any and all Politicos of all parties, WE the PEOPLE are watching you, and LISTENING to what you are going to say today. 289 million of us LEGAL citizens will see with pristine clarity just WHO in the Political arena is looking out for US, the people who VOTED you into Office in the first place. The biggest question on my mind and perhaps one or two others is: Are you going to protect and serve as you promised and swore to up-hold the Constitution or not? Are you going to up-hold out law or are you going to support the Illegal’s? 298 million to 11 million. You do the math. Let’s roll.
The hardest part is waiting until 'next' week when the show is over!

I haven't yet met ONE hispanic who favors amnesty. And there's a LOT of them in Denver.

This is INSANE.
I'm a naturalized US citizen, previously a legal immigrant. I obeyed the law and paid my taxes. Am I angry at the current lack of border enforcement? Hell, yes.
We had a march in our college town during the lunch hour. I said the same the same thing on the way to lunch. I am guessing 2/3 of the restaurants have workers of dubious origin.
I wore my Ralph Lauren shirt today with the American flag. I feel I have earned the right to wear that flag by working almost my entire life, paying taxes etc.
Most of us don't have the time to march in the streets because we have to work or take care of our children and grandchildren.
Furthermore, we shouldn't have to march in the streets to save our country from people who came here illegally and take advantage of the welfare system and bankrupt our resources. I would just as soon go without eating lettuce if their excuse for all this is that the farmers need them! I don't buy that sad excuse at all.
In the market today, I looked at a box of Bisquick because it's almost shortcake time. I saw only spanish words on the front which is maddening so I put it back on the shelf. It's just as easy to make that shortcake from scratch. I will ONLY buy products with the English language and it getting harder to do that...damn it!!
Thanks. That explains a little bit of it. I'm guessing these maroons with the microphones getting face time probably mean they pay *sales tax* on all the consumer goods they buy while living here illegally.
The legals are at work, I'm guessing, and the long-time illegals who actually do the IRS paperwork are at home studying for their naturalization tests. *sigh*
Jobs that Americans won't do...like the illegal who works in Rancho Santa Fe and gets paid $380/week! I'm sure some American citizen would mind having that job.

I don't know if you saw the post, I posted this morning on diseased illegal immigrants. Someone complained and the Moderator pulled it for one reason or another. So I posted another from the CDC!
It seems, TB and other infectious diseases have been ignored and/or purposely misplaced from all discussions on the illegal immigration issue.

I got your second one. Yes, this has been a long standing, well kept secret that anyone in health care, or police/fire can attest to. It has been plaguing us for decades, and we have seen a steady increase in disease in recent years.

Your proposition does not take into account that not all Hispanics are immigrants, much less illegal immigrants. As the United States expanded its borders in the 1800's it absorbed a large Hispanic (whatever that is) population.

My own comments could also get me in trouble but being from Florida I was shocked to see Bill Nelson vote against the bill, one of 5 Democrats who took a stand for America's laws and broke rank with the Dummies. Interesting.
