Welcome back all concerned!

Just to clarify, this is a thread discussing both what is happening LIVE across the country as Illegal Immigrants protest their Illegality, and what to do about it. Let's discuss VIABLE options as to what to do about this issue. I have a sneaking suspicion that this "Protest" of American LAW is going to be pretty big. I predict that there is going to be a LOT of pandering to these 11 million or so criminals by our Politicians. I sincerely hope not. To any and all Politicos of all parties, WE the PEOPLE are watching you, and LISTENING to what you are going to say today. 289 million of us LEGAL citizens will see with pristine clarity just WHO in the Political arena is looking out for US, the people who VOTED you into Office in the first place. The biggest question on my mind and perhaps one or two others is: Are you going to protect and serve as you promised and swore to up-hold the Constitution or not? Are you going to up-hold out law or are you going to support the Illegal’s? 298 million to 11 million. You do the math. Let’s roll.

...and no one in the crowd understands her. They all stare dumbfounded. Finally she shouts it out in Spanish and they erupt in applause.

Folks, we are looking at millions of people who cannot speak our language and declare this is their land and they demand to vote Democratic en masse.

This is probably going to be my only comment about this whole demonstration situation. I've seen a lot of what's going on, on TV - kind of amazed that my own city didn't have the 500,000 person turnout, that our Big D neighbor to the north did - but what I don't *get* is that all these illegal immigrants are interviewed and always say they pay taxes. How do they do that? How can someone be living here illegally and yet pay taxes? Why doesn't the IRS report them to the INS? How hard is that?

Most of all, I don't understand what part of "illegal" these people don't understand. I can't park in a handicap parking space without getting a ticket or getting towed (I guess, I never have done it); can't get medical services without paying for them; can't go to a hospital without paying for it; can't get any kind of assistance from the government when I need it, after 30 years of paying my taxes and being a law-abiding responsible citizen, yet people who don't even have the right to live here *get* all these things and more. Why?

And why does the media insist on trotting out "immigrants" without pointing out the HUGE difference between "illegal" and "legal"? Why are they saying "we" are all *against* immigration?

Yeah, yeah, I know *why* but I had to ask it out loud. It seems to me that the whole country has gone insane if they pay any attention to any of this at all. The only way it affects me is that I'm even more afraid to leave my home than I was before. I've been accosted by these jerks at every turn - and yet, all anyone ever says is, "oh, you know, Latino men are 'just affectionate.' " That's not what I call it.

I guess I'm done. Just call "illegal" what it is - "against the law" and arrest everyone who is breaking the law; deport those who shouldn't be here. Period. End of story. I can't believe there is even any discussion about this, much less all this "show of power."

The scene in Boston: At today's support us we are breaking the law rally citizens were told to leave for their own safety by the cops. These citizens chanting USA were threatened and had things thrown at them and the situation was getting dicey. The cops had no concerns about those doing the violence, they were not asked to leave, rather, they asked the US citizens to leave "for their own safety." Does that not say it all?

But you see Jeff, that's the problem. How can you know whether or not they are legal or illegal? They can say they are legal, and probably even show you a phony document. Sorry, but in order for the plan to work we will have to boycott any business employing hispanics. I hate to punish the legal ones, but there is no other way to get the message across. The legal ones will soon send the illegals back where they came from.

Perhaps this 2 week vacation the Washington crowd are taking is a good thing. It also gives us 2 weeks to get the word out and give U.S. citizens a wakeup call.

Just caught some coverage of the demonstration in Phoenix. Looked like a shot from a helicopter, and all I could see were US flags being carried.

Interestingly, EVERY one of the hundreds (thousands?)I could see in the picture as the camera panned the crowd were wearing identical-looking white shirts. Couldn't see what was written on them, but not one shirt of a different color was obvious.

If the "Bin Ladens" did not see this opportunity to come in via Mexico before, they damn well know it is the way to go now. Unless, there is some suprise attack from the northern border and it's really hard to say whom I trust least.
