If Minutemen Are Vigilantes, What Do You Call 500,000 Illegal Aliens Demanding Rights?
NewsByUs.com ^ | Apr 10, 2006 | Citizen Conservative

When the Minutemen set up shop at the Arizona border last year to call attention to the illegal alien loophole in US Homeland Security, President Bush foolishly chided these brave patriots by calling them vigilantes. Although chagrined at being deserted by the man who has the constitutional responsibility and authority to defend our borders, the Minutemen dug in their heels and persisted. And persisted.

Their Yankee determination to do the right thing was rewarded when President Bush finally sent additional border patrol agents to Arizona. Even the Mexican government was motivated to pay greater attention, at least temporarily, because of the due diligence of heroic Minutemen.

Before the Minuteman took their courageous stand, open border advocates and anti-American liberals insisted it was “impossible” to stop illegal immigration. Best to just accept reality, learn Spanish, and switch to rice and beans as food stables, according to the leftists and Hispanic racists.

Thank God, the Minutemen PROVED illegal aliens CAN be stopped, thereby delivering a great victory on behalf of all American citizens.

I'm thinking more like Border Patrol agents forced into more and more remote areas where hardly any border crossings took place before and then one dies accidentally there - not killed by a criminal - that would be tragic. I would never say anyone is to blame except the criminal that actually shoots a Border Patrol agent - although, I did watch "Minority Report" recently, so I guess I shouldn't say "never" ; )

"Willing target" is like FDR provoking Japan to attack us before WWII. As for "people calling police from cellphones to report dangerous drivers" I don't have a problem with that, as long as they don't make contact or otherwise interfere with the lawful authorities.

Which is precisely what the Minuteman Project is doing. Making reports of illegal activity while not making contact of interfering with lawful authorities. The rank and file border patrol agents LOVE the Minuteman Project for this reason.

Die by what accidental means? Rattlesnake bite?
You know that these folks are trained for these things, don't you?
Plus, the MM most likely increase the safety of the BP agents with their mere presence; if the agent needs backup and can't call, they'll do it for him and assist.

An almost 50% preference, on an individual deemed to be a "one issue candidate" speaks volumes, imho.

Mayans in Chiapas Region Convert to Islam

The bill that was just defeated in the Senate was an amnesty, plain and simple. But take a look at what these treasonous scumbags tried to hide in it. They will be back and we can expect more of this if we do not act decisively.

You are unbelievable.

First is your attempt to spin the vigilante remark to now saying that Travis calls 'women' post menopausal biddies. implying that he refers to all women that way.

His comment was limited to those on that particular thread who are, not women in general. But truth and facts don't seem to be your strong suit. Never were though, so I am not surprised to see you on the wrong side of this issue either.

The Senate's Democratic and Republican leaders yesterday announced a compromise on an immigration bill - with some details still to be worked out. But details that may continue from the bill passed out of the Judiciary Committee should definitely be deal-breakers.

........Like that surprise hidden on page 302 - which would replace the country's entire bench of experienced immigration judges with pro-immigration advocates.

I wasn't thinking snake bite - more like something else but directly attributable to patrolling more and more remote areas where there were no border crossings until the Minuteman Project went there last year. The law of unintended consequences grows exponentially in these types of volatile situations. For instance, didn't the Guardian Angels in NYC make things worse?

It's a smoochie-smooch fest by dozens of post-menopausel biddies, who think he's just the bee's knees.

"He's such a nice boy!"

(Never mind the illegal alien slave-traitor part.)

I read plenty of Minuteman blogs of some scary situations to know that fully armed, ready, and willing participants are not "precisely" like unarmed citizens calling police from cellphones to report dangerous drivers ; )
