Party-Switcher David Pfeiffer (R-NM) Announces Campaign For U.S. Senate
Name is spelled Pfeffer.
That piece from Rush is spectacular. I've captured what you posted and am going to commit the numbers to memory. I'm also going to search for the original source material (hopefully at Brookings Institute) and save the link. If I find it, or if someone beats me to it, I want to see that it's posted here for reference.
Great find.
Great post...
One thing they DID say was that normally the fact the the Democrats have NO PLAN, would hurt them in the elections in November, but this year, the Republicans are in such disarray and "everthing is in such bad shape", that the dems are better off with NO PLAN...
Than the Reps are with a BAD PLAN.

With kudos and thanks to Fedora, who's compiled very thorough research on this:
"What I find interesting is the chronological context of the CIA's request for a DOJ investigation of the Plame leak in relation to other investigation requests related to the broader Wilson/Niger affair. For instance, shortly after Wilson's NYT op-ed appeared in July 2003 a petition to Congress for an investigation into the Niger forgeries was made simultaneously by Dennis Kucinich (the head of the Congresional antiwar lobby that sent Jim McDermott to Bagdhad in September 2002) and Carl Levin (who on January 29, 2003 had asked CIA for details on what the US intelligence community knew about the Iraqi attempts to acquire uranium from Africa mentioned in President Bushs January 28 State of the Union address.
Levin and Joseph Wilson appeared together with the French and German ambassadors on Nightline about a month after this.
Levin likewise--through prearrangement with the producer--followed up Wilson's appearance on Meet the Press with Andrea Mitchell the day after Wilson's NYT op-ed).
While Levin was addressing the Senate on this on July 15, 2003, Kucinich held a press conference with VIPS Ray McGovern and retired Australian intelligence agent Andrew Willkie.
The next day Wilsons Nation friend David Corn accused the Bush administration of leaking Plames name to Novak, a charge echoed July 17 by TIME reporter Matthew Cooper.
Tenet's request for a DOJ investigation came to fruition two months after this."
And, an excellent analysis:

Wilsongate: Motive, Means, and Opportunity- The Buried Story Behind Plamegate - By Fedora
The grocery store I often use about every six weeks has green grocery at half price price for a couple of weeks so I suppose it evens itself out.
"I can't convey his (Kerry's) overly dramatic tone and creepiness."
If you need help conveying your impression of Kerry's quintessential creepiness you might want to check out Laura Blumenfeld's adoring June 1, 2003, article in the Washington Post. (google: Laura Blumenfeld Hunter, Dreamer, Realist)
I thought it was a hit piece, ridiculing the excesses of this truly bizarre nonenity.
In the very first paragraph Kerry describes his experiences in the hunting fields and how you "gut" a dove, "carve out the heart, pull out the entrails and cut up the meat," proving to anyone who has hunted the tiny dove, the edible meat of which is removed cleanly with no "gutting" or ripping out of entrails, that Kerry is a sham and a liar.
The "hunter" image is a lead-in to prove that Kerry, "6ft4in, rides a Harley, plays ice hockey, snowboards, windsurfs, kite surfs, and has such thick, aggressive hair he uses a (get ready) brush with metal teeth," is a MANLY man.
"That's our slogan," quipped his ad man, Jim Margolis. "John Kerry is no weenie."
Miss Blumenfeld writes that Kerry is "complex;" he writes poetry. He "reluctantly" reads a poem to a reporter. She refers to Kerry as "primal John."
It is a long article, unintentionally full of raucous fun. He strums on his guitar with his Mandarin length fingernails (remember those nails in campaign photos?) and tells her that playing his guitar is dangerous, "I broke a nail."
His aides press him to leave the reporter for a floor vote in the Senate, but he stays on, then "reluctantly" reports for duty on the Senate floor to await his boss, Ted Kennedy's orders.
He leaks sawdust at every prancing step.
Kerry had this article up on his website throughout his campaign; apparently none of the Dem "thinkers" felt uneasy that their man, in his own words, showed what a fool and ineffable creep this presidential wanabee was and is.
see my post #737. Post the tax per gallon on every pump
My FRiend, there already is a corresponding cost to consumers - and it's astronomically high. How else could a state with the GDP of California basically be bankrupt?
One other point which I rarely see discussed is that legal immigrants have come to the US to become citizens - working is a means of supporting oneself as an American. Illegals have come to work and support themselves and families as resident aliens. Big distinction - which is why they should always be referred to illegal aliens, not illegal immigrants.
People shouldn't be here just to perform jobs - that creates a two-class society. Everyone should be in the boat together, working jobs that best fit their needs, skills and market demand. We want future Americans, not just employees. And since we need future Americans, we should be able to decide who we want, not the applicants.
Not having much of an accent was my point. Now the rest of the nation and soon the rest of the world, will speak english as if they were from Omaha. Not good, not bad, but definitely understandable. There's a lot to be said for understandable. (Have you ever heard Robin Williams go on about a thick Scot's accent? Hilarious and totally unintelligible!)
I heard that one of the big reasons for the teleservices industry, starting with the insurance business, to locate in Omaha was that the telephone systems were the most robust and reliable in the world. And why would that be? Well, there used to be this little outfit based in Omaha named the Strategic Air Command... <g>
What? That can't happen?
Thanks for the excellent informatin. Now, how do we get this informatin to Team Libby? I believe recently I read on JOM, that someone said that Fitzy has had two recent cases that have been dismissed: One of them was on the basis that Fitzy got it exactly backwards!!! Seems he did it again with this case -- the conspiracy was not in the White House, it was in the DNC. Fedora's excellent research should get wider distribution....how does that happen?
I'm ready now for this "serious bender." Why wait? Oh yeah... the election. Sorry. I forgot about that. Is it okay to do one now, with the assumption we get to do it again in November?
It makes people aware but what can they actually do about it they are not going to stop buying fuel and most people are not up for rioting or demonstrating.
I can't remember if he mentioned the being at the wall the night before, scenario...but that doesn't mean he didn't.
I try to block out Kerry when he is speaking BUT, when he started mentioning Vietnam, the wall....and how he didn't want "that" to happen again, my ears perked up.
This guy is such an idiot that he STILL hasn't learned that the whole Vietnam subject is what helped him LOSE in 2004.
He bashes Bush about not making changes because of "lessons learned" , but it seems to me, he is the most guilty of anyone I can think of that needs to sit a think about "lessons learned"...
The end of the Vietnam War...was one of the very LOW points of American History, and he wants to replicate that experience yet again about Iraq!!!
