Good for them....in my book, McCain isn't any better than Kerry.
Check out The Boston Manifesto for the real story on Vietnam. I found it to be the most complete study around and even as a Vietnam vet, I learned many things I didn't know.
I am game, but much of the material is readily available. What do you want to do with it?
I have a suggestion what he could do with the thread...
after several hundred posts...and links like you just provided..maybe with some excerpts printed out on some of those posts...
He could e-mail the thread do Kerry, McCain, Howard Dean, all of the MSM and talk show hosts...
And have the question attached...and THIS guy still thinks he can be POTUS????
Why not? IF the internet is going to be the "NEW MEDIA"...we have to USE it...to try to let the idiots out there, that think that Americans BELIEVE the crap that Kerry, McCain, and the MSM is feeding them know...that it isn't going to work anymore!!
There has to be a concerted effort...NOT just we posters opinining on FR that we "wish" EVERYONE had read this book or that book...
We need to make it EASIER for them to know what a traitor Kerry is....and how McCain has acted both when a POW, and afterward...which certainly doesn't jibe with the way he is presently being portrayed by the MSM.
What a great post and idea in your #1023, Txsleuth.
What do you want to do with it?
I'm not sure yet, specifically, but I have a vision of collecting authoritative reference information, validating it (and I mean getting freepers to scrub it 1000 ways from Sunday so that no schmuck from the MSM can question us) and then shoving it in the face of the leftists so called "anti war" movement. They aren't anti war, but they are anti-American and I want to do my bit to knock them off of their soap box. They've had it their way for far too long.
Your link will definitely be part of post #2, after I lay that out.
have you seen the video yet- that Johnnie posted yesterday?
I got two more....had to work out the kinks...
I think Johnnie is going to post them on Rush tomorrow...
Or any legislation he's authored..
Hmmf!!! Have I ever missed a Sunday?
I am a creature of habit. On Sundays I post the thread and go to Church. God and Free Republic, now & forever!!!!
The Sunday thread is something I plan on now, too. Its tradition!
Was not sure if there would be any talk shows though I suppose they will record them during the week.
LOL. It logically follows completely and utterly. 40% of the populaton is earning an average of $8/hr performing low-skilled tasks, all the while consuming social services that require a tax base comprised of net family income averaging $30-50/hr.
It's all there in the stats I posted. None are so blind as those who will not see. However, this doesn't apply to you, since you do see, but appear to have another agenda in mind. That's cool, too; FR is nothing but a sounding board to test out the political winds.
Thank you...but, I got the idea and inspiration from YOU, Peach..
YOU are the one that has been preaching to us to be PRO-ACTIVE in our activism...which sounds redundant, but isn't.
We think of ourselves as activists because we watch C-span and we e-mail our Congresspeople..but we are preaching to the choir...
We need to get the information out their to a public that has been influenced by, and dumbed down by...the MSM and the politicians themselves.
I think that Americans are so "trusting" or naive, that they/we have a tendency to believe the politicians and the media. We grew up with some kind of notion that one should always tell the truth, because a lie will be found out.
Unfortunately, that isn't always the case in the world of politics...and in this world, what we don't know WILL kill us!!
Yes...I did, they were awesome...and I forgot to thank him...
Johnnie...when you wake up from your beauty sleep...I want to thank you for posting those videos...I appreciate it!
Gosh...I thought John Kerry was the only one left that still thinks that what he did, and what America did, in cutting and running from Vietnam was anything BUT a total disaster for millions,
and an embarrassment for America./sarc
The newest crop of History books have the Vietnam War in them, I am sure....
It would be interesting to have any parent or even any student that is a Freeper, let us know how THEIR history book is portraying the Vietnam War...and how it "ended".
I know I would be curious how my granddaughters will eventually be taught about the Vietnam War, and war protests.
Now THIS ONE will make your BLOOD BOIL!
Check out the link below.. be sure to actually WATCH the video mentioned....

I am ready to start disbanding teacher unions and send more pink slips....
"....I can understand why the WH press corpse is snippy with President Bush when he is at Crawford."
So....what's the excuse the rest of the time??
JUST LOVELY!!!
You know....I am truly frightened about my granddaughter's futures...and now I see, I have to FEAR them going to school.
Teacher's unions are one of the BIGGEST moneymakers for the Democrat Party...and they are POWERFUL. This guy that ran this will get in NO trouble...because of "freedom of speech" doncha know??
I WISH I was smart enough and patient enough to homeschool them...but also...they are both very social girl...they HAVE to have companionship their own age..and they are both only children...so if nothing else, school provides THAT necessity in a child's life..
But, eeeeeevil, David Horowitz has been on a crusade to rid universities of the liberal loonies..we need to get him to think YOUNGER!!
Besides, how can a teacher be teaching while running for office?? Seems like there would be some kind of conflict...don't know what it would be, technically, but it just doesn't seem kosher.
