SENATOR SESSIONS ON SECURING AMERICA'S BORDERS ACT Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee. I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate. Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor — legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us. Stand Up For America !

If someone asks about the flag you wave, tell the person you carry it to express cultural and ethnic pride, not to show allegiance to any government.

Big job hurdle for many immigrants: Basic Pilot

Snip: James Hamilton is the gatekeeper at Swift & Co.'s pork processing plant in Worthington, Minn., determining who will be hired and who will be turned away. Since nearly all of Swift's applicants these days are immigrants, determining who is or is not authorized to work in the United States is crucial.

Swift has relied on a voluntary electronic verification program developed by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to separate legal from illegal. Called Basic Pilot, the Internet-based system is used by about 100 employers in Minnesota and 5,528 more nationwide.

The system would be mandatory for every U.S. employer if immigration reform bills working their way through Congress become law. Unfortunately, Basic Pilot doesn't seem to work particularly well.

Immigrants' jobs would be filled if they left

Snip: I do not believe the oft repeated statements that these workers do jobs Americans won't. If illegal workers were magically removed, after a few months to re-establish the equilibrium, all the jobs would be filled by American citizens or legal immigrants.

Vintage radicalism may emerge in protest

Since January, according to an AP-Ipsos poll, for example, the number of Americans who consider immigration the top national problem quadrupled, equal to the percentage naming the economy.

I just had a thought that may seem off-topic, but bear with me.

Everyone I talk to all over the country swears that this is the worst allergy season ever and the television is plastered with ads for sinus remedies, etcetera.

The body produces histamines when it perceives that a foreign substance has INVADED the body. Allergies are a sign of INVASION, perceived or other wise.

Could this be body-wisdom as a mirror to (or somatic symptom of) what is happening?

I am having worst allergies ever!!!
