WILLIAMSBURG - Sandra Day O'Connor said yesterday that she was sad that a woman was not chosen to fill the U.S. Supreme Court seat opened by her retirement.
"I was disappointed to see the women on the Supreme Court drop by 50 percent," O'Connor told an audience of more than 700 students at the College of William and Mary.

She, like much of the left, thinks she owns the seat.
Wasn't it Schumer who referred to "our" seat, when GWB had appointed Alioto? Anyway, they didn't think GWB was appointing liberal enough justices. They implied that they had gone along with one - Roberts - but they weren't going to stand for any more messing with the O'Connor seat - theirs.

After her saying she retired to have more time with her husband on the ranch. Looks like she retired to go a double dipping.

So she would have been happy to see Janice Rodgers Brown appointed? Just what I was thinking. Since we're bean-counting, we could've had two beans for the price of one in JRB. But, nooooooooooooooooo...

I am dissapointed the old hag never bothered to read this. And which one of the 530+ hacks in Washington has again (except for perhaps Justice Thomas and Rep. Paul)? Although I wouldn't call her an 'old hag'. I may have disagreed with her political views but I imagine she was personably a nice person.

So she would have been happy to see Janice Rodgers Brown appointed? Like anyone from the party of big government would have nominated a conservative..
