When Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) summoned the media to Howard University last week to tell her side of the story in an altercation with a Capitol Police officer, she assumed the traditional news conference position behind a podium and a bank of microphones.
She stood there wearing a coral-colored jacket and dangling earrings and raising the serious issue of racial injustice. But it was impossible not to stare at her hair. As your plainspoken mother might say, it appeared to be standing all over her head.

struck with a frying pan
It looked like doll hair, and I don't mean a brand new doll. Not that I have any right to criticize, since my own is as long and unruly as it was in the '60s. Mom called it a "something 'do." As in DO SOMETHING with your hair!!! Never did get around to it.
However, I am not a congresscritter. You work for the people in Congress you should comb your hair, wear shoes, tuck your shirt in. And don't be smacking cops around.
I firmly believe if she'd been sporting a hairspray-hardened bob like Condi's, the Moonbat McKinney would never have whomped that guard for trying to stop her. You don't want to muss your hair when you've taken some trouble to style it.
Her politics resemble an explosion is a mattress-stuffing factory, too?
...changed their hair. The thing that doesn't change is the shape of your nose, your eyes, your forehead,"
Bullcrap, that's why women pay hairstylists big money, because a great haircut can dramatically change the look of your face.
Now there is a quote, if I ever heard one!
And to think, they removed all traces Amos & Andy because they were what? Stereotyping blacks?
No barff alert needed here Sky ... That article was funnier than the **** Official Friday Silliness Thread ****
DING!
;D!
FOTFLOL!
I have NOTHING to add.
Is Robin a "race-traitor" too, since she isn't wearing an afro style? Except for Condi's cut and flip, there isn't a whole lot of difference between Condi's smooth style and Robin's.
Are libbies ever NOT flaming, "do as I say, not as I do" hypocrites?
I was waiting for the inevitable "Uhhhhnng!" post.
I'd probably do well to have a self-imposed post ban until I finish my coffee. : )
IIRC this is the same 'reporterette' that made fun of the way John Roberts son was dressed (suit, bow tie, shorts). If one saw the way she way dressed around that time, one is reminded of the saying about glass houses and throwing stones.
I have the pictures from the "Prom", the one that some guy was fired for, for e-mailing thru the office and making not so nice comments about. I can e-mail them to whoever can post them. Especially nice is the girl with the helicopter hairdo.
Well she's playing into the whole hating on other women's hair thing. She's just jealous.
well, O.K. maybe it was racism... maybe it was the hair... but MAYBE it was the not wearing the designated ID, not stopping when the Capitol Police tried to check her ID, and then there's that whole "Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer" thing...
I know it won't happen, but this POS needs to do some time...
It's a crying shame that he didn't work her over with his ASP.
But this super intelligent one exhibits zero cognition of the fact that such a change in hair volume might make her difficult to recognize. Also zero empathy and zero courtesy. The arrogant ASSumption on her part is that the CAPITOL POLICE have the time and the desire to play the game of "visual politics".
Isn't this the same writer who made fun of the outfit John Roberts' son was wearing?
