Will US Fly The White Flag Over The Capitol?
San Antonio Lightning ^ | April 07, 2006 | Jim Miles, Major (Ret.),

MORE FOREIGN DANGER

San Antonio is recognized as a major crossroads for illegal aliens flooding out of Mexico.

Exactly how many stay in the Alamo City and Bexar County is anybody's guess. Estimates run as high as 200,000 and are growing in leaps and bounds.

Nation wide the number of illegal aliens is estimated at 10-12 million. I believe the number is much higher --in the 15-20 million range.

Regardless of the number, the US has been invaded by hordes of illegal aliens, aka 'criminals,' and the invasion continues unabated.

The Bush administration has been dragging its boots in dealing with the growing illegal alien problem.

While we're taking the fight to the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, America is being invaded through our southern borders. Who knows how many terrorists have crossed the border into the US.

President Bush favors a "Guest-Workers" program and has at least signed off on increasing the number of border patrol agents.

"You cannot enforce the border without having a temporary guest worker program," he said.

The best way to enforce the border is to first secure the border. Besides illegal alien workers aren't guests. They're law-breakers.

Congress is debating proposed immigration legislation that will allow illegal aliens to become US citizens without having to first leave the country.

In other words, granting 'amnesty' to criminals, as was the case in 1986 when congress gave that gift 3.1 million illegal aliens under the Immigration Reform and Control Act. Rewarding law-breakers.

Aside from the fact that the Mexican government is riddled with corruption, the blame for the immigration mess we're in can be blamed on the failure of our elected leaders, dating back to the Kennedy/Johnson administrations.

In 1965 Senator Ted "I'll drive" Kennedy introduced the Immigration Reform Act of 1965 which eliminated the 'National Origins' quota system.

"Our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same," boasted Kennedy. In all fairness, his strength is swimming, not counting.

Kennedy's ally, Senator Hyram Fong said, "Our cultural pattern will never be changed as far as America is concerned."

That was forty-one years ago. Today 10-12 million or more illegal aliens are running loose in the US, and more are on the way.

Mexican flags are becoming more visible, in many cases flown above the US flag which is flown upside down. Are widespread riots next?

Sen. Bill Frist, majority leader, called the nation's immigration system "flat-out broken."

Frist is right. Immigrants cost taxpayers over 50 billion dollars annually in public assistance alone. Lou Dobbs, veteran news commentator, said the total economic impact of illegal aliens may run as high as 200 billion dollars annually.

Legal and illegal immigration has reached a record high of 2 million annually.

So far, all we've gotten from the federal government is a pot of undercooked menudo, and overly ripe tripas.

Our elected leaders, especially in congress, are more concerned over the Hispanic vote than they are on securing our borders and the nation.

In Dec. 2005 the House passed a bill with the following provisions:

Requires employers to verify social security numbers of employees or face civil or criminal penalties. They have six years to come up with a database.

Many, if not most illegals have fake social security cards and other forms of ID.

Requires mandatory detention for all non-Mexican illegal immigrants. What about illegal Mexicans?

Makes illegal presence in the country a felony. This is a good idea but probably has no chance of passing the senate.

Makes a drunken driving conviction a deportable offense. This will never get past Ted Kennedy.

Requires building 700 miles of two-layer fences on the border between Mexico and the US. Why stop at 700 miles? The fence should run from Brownsville, Texas to the west coast of California.

Does not address guest-worker program. A fancy name for a criminal-worker program.

Senate immigration proposals include the following:

Allows illegal aliens who were in the US before 2004 to continue working legally for six years. Rewards criminal activity. You can bet every illegal alien they find will have been in the US before 2004.

Adds up to 14,000 new border patrol agents. A more realistic figure would be 50,000.

Fines employers between $500 and $20,000 for each illegal alien hired and up to six months in prison. Sounds tough but will never be enforced.

Allows illegal aliens to enroll in college or university or enlist in the military. Putting them in the military is a good idea.

Makes it a misdemeanor (slap on the wrist) for immigrants in the country illegally. The House bill makes it a felony.

If this is the best congress can do to control illegal immigration and secure the nation, then we may just as well run up the white flag and start speaking Spanish.

If the laws already on the books were enforced we wouldn't need any new laws.

Let's face it the vast majority of illegal aliens are Mexicans out of Mexico. They have come here to take advantage of the economic and welfare benefits not available in their own corrupt country.

However, we are being told by these illegal aliens that they don't give a damn about our laws. They are going to come here anytime they want, stay as long as they please, do what they want and if we (Americans) don't like it we can go to hell!

Every day illegal aliens become more defiant as evidenced by the mass demostrations protesting proposed immigration laws. You can bet our enemies (terrorists) will fully exploit these demonstrations and unrest.

Only in America would protests by illegal aliens waving foreign flags be tolerated.

Try a protest march in Mexico or any number of foreign countries waving an American flag and see how far you get.

America is being held hostage by hoards of illegal aliens who are draining the resources of the nation.

Senator Frist has identified the problem. Now its time for the US Congress and the Bush administration to fix it.

Congress should pass and the president should sign an emergency appropriations bill to fund troops on the border; construct border fences; hire border patrol agents, vehicles and equipment; establish detention centers and provide special funding to state governments to assist in the identification/detention/deportation of illegal aliens.

The first priority in immigration reform should be to secure the borders, even it means initally using the military. We don't need a new law to do this. We only need the will to carry it out.

Once the borders are secured and illegal aliens are stopped at the border we can turn our attention to rounding up and deporting the 10-12 million illegal aliens (criminals) running around loose in the country.

It may take time to clean up the immigration mess and stop the invasion; and it won't be easy, but it can be done. Again, we don't need any new laws only need the will to do it.

Meanwhile INS and border patrol agents should be allowed to do their jobs without political interference. The following are comments from INS sources who testified before the US Congress:

"The enforcement people in INS would really like to start doing our jobs like we did before we were castrated by the policies of the last decade."

"Current regional and headquarters politically motivated policeis prohibit us from enforcing immigration law in the interior for fear of offending a group or generating negative media attention. This includes joint operations with local law enforcement..."

"Local law enforcement agencies are disgusted with us and don't even bother calling us anymore since they know we won't or can't respond."

Congress turned a deaf ear to their pleas.

About all we can expect from our government is more worthless Ted Kennedy immigration "reform" legislation that won't be enforced anyway.

Congressional "lip service" to placate the restless peasants.

Too bad for our country.

Is that a white flag I see waving over the nation's Capitol?

Article VI, paragraph 2 of the Constitution states: "This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding." (Emphasis added.)

The phrase: "...shall be the supreme Law of the Land", has been interpreted by the Supreme Court to mean that treaties supersede the Constitution itself - that our rights of freedom of speech, religion, assembly, press, right to keep and bear arms, etc. can be changed or even abolished by a treaty.

President Bush = Rockefeller, New York city republican socialist. Hint - like father like son.

I'll give Bush jr. one credit - he sure as hell appointed conservatives to the court. And as long as stupid, brainless, morons (the majority of Americans) believe the court has the last word on what's constitutional and what's not - I'll take the crumbs provided by George jr.

Then on the same day he announced he will not defend our borders at home. ...I'm saddened and confused.

I'm absolutely disgusted and angry that I voted for an open borders/globalist freak of a president whose loyalty lies with Mexico rather than America.

My bank's automated system greets callers initially with "Press 2 for Spanish" in Spanish. And it's a large bank in a city with decidedly minority Hispanic population. I have discovered I can bleep past it by hitting 1 immediately.

Just the other day, I think it was Sprint, the Spanish part of "press 1 for Spanish" was played BEFORE the English part.

Presione dos para ingles.

I remember about 20 years ago when there was the Math and Science teacher "shortage" in Texas. I applied for a teaching position and was turned down because I could not speak Spanish !!!

My wife is a high school teacher. Math and computers.

We live in a northern state, nowhere near the Mexican border -- but, we are an agricultural area.

What do you think of the idea of sticking non-english-speaking illegals in an "advanced computers" class?

Education is rapidly spiraling into an utter farce in large part due to the overwhelming influx of illegals.

The "powers that be" in the school system know full well these are illegals. They know they cannot understand a word of English. They know they won't "learn" a damned thing.

But, they get many dollars per head for each day they are parked in a classroom.

As far as I understand, there is no effort to teach them English either. The school knows that they're "here today, gone tomorrow" -- only to be replaced by the next bunch of "eager young minds."

Of course, the American kids in the class -- the ones who do want to learn -- are hampered by the presence of multiple "babysitting" cases (see my postscript below too), who soak up "teacher time", and, the occasional disruption of a "bilingual" student attempting to explain the classwork to an illiterate kid from Mexico who is being babysat.

I hold nothing against these kids. It's not their fault, and it's got to be unimaginably miserable... intimidating... to be sitting in a room full of people speaking a "foreign language", and being "expected" to "participate." But, the bottom line is that the finite resources putatively intended for American children are being diverted, and there is no way to "make it up to them."

Your taxbux@werk.

(I could also go on about them also sticking "special education" students into "advanced computers", Advanced Algebra, and so forth, but why bother. The system is broken, and it's not even pointed in the general direction of "getting fixed.")

"At what point do we consider an invasion is going on when government is shut down due to foreign [sic] marching on our soil?" Rep. Pam Gorman asked.

Think Paris, 1940.

Welcome to Vichy America.

I was talking to somebody today about ways to protect our borders. Some sort of survelliance method where you could drop detectors out of planes. the detectors would be planted in the ground. It's supposedly how they discovered the San Diego tunnels. suppose to be cheaper than fences. Add an electric shock device (like you do for cattle) and you've sold it to me!! :::snicker:::

This is such OLD tech that it makes you want to cry.

They were used in Vietnam, and that was quite a few years ago! You can sometimes find them for sale at electronics surplus stores.

They (ground motion detectors) are disguised to look like rocks. They blend in with the ground, and pick up motion -- vehicles, footsteps, whatever -- and transmit the signals via radio to a monitoring station.

With a few of them in an area, you can tell where someone is, how many "someones" there are, and what direction they're headed.

I gotta presume that the technology has come a long way since the stuff they used in the 1970s, but even that would be of major utility on the border -- IF they'd use them!

The problem is not one of "cannot do", or even "cannot understand the problem"; the problem is one of WILL, and AGENDA.

They do not want to keep the illegals out. They DO want to keep them here, because to those who "own" the government, they are an ASSET. They are the "new slaves" for the "new plantation economy." They work hard, for little pay and no benefits, for long hours, and, they do NOT complain.

Of course, that's because they are I-L-L-E-G-A-L aliens. Someone who is ILLEGAL is not going to make waves!

The instant they're made legal, they have NO more incentive to work like slaves!

So, guess what? There will be a "need" for MORE illegals -- to "do the work the legal immigrants won't do."

Of course, for the government, it's a win-win. They will have several tens of MILLIONS of new voters to pimp themselves out to, and, in some dark corner of the political "mind", there's the absurd notion that these folks will somehow save the doomed SSA.

Rational analysis of course puts the lie to THAT insanity. A critical mass of Mexican voters -- themselves competing with the NEW illegals who will take their former place -- are NOT going to be kindly disposed to paying confiscatory tax rates in order to support the aging "el gringo nation" -- and, with their enormous voting bloc, and the political power it will wield, they will not allow that to happen.

More likely, you, me, and the rest of us "gringos" will be shuttled to an early demise via the groundbreaking work of the heroic "medical ethicists" who are as we speak laying the foundation for the "termination" of those with an "expectation of diminished quality of life."

Brave New Soylent World. With Taco Sauce, to go!
