Melanie Morgan (KSFO) has organized a rally outside of Lowell High School in San Francisco for tomorrow (4/7) at 9:45am. It's to protest Cindy Sheehan's appearance and school officials' refusal to provide an alternate point of view. A Gold Star father will be there and patriotic locals are needed to come show their support! Stay tuned to KSFO's morning show tomorrow for more details.
A friend's directions:
Lowell High School is at 1101 Eucalyptus in the Sunset District. It is very close to Stonestown and is located between 19th Ave and Lake Merced on Eucalyptus. If you drive, I suggest parking on Ocean (a block over) as the curb is pretty full beginning at 7:30 when school starts.

Not that I'm aware of.
What else is new?
To: SeenTheLight
I didn't see anything in the San Jose Mercury News, pro or con. Surprised that she didn't a least get a mention.

I checked the news last nite, and saw nothing.
NBC was there, I saw a peacock on a microphone.
This lady was interviewing Mark (I don't know his last name) who is a Gold Star Father. His son was killed in Iraq two years ago last Thursday.
Unfortunately, they would not let him speak even though he was allowed to go inside.

After a while, the students saw the expression on the terrorist supporter's face (and mask)...
...and came over to where the Supporters of Freedom were gathered.
They were very attentive and were infused with truth from the many patriots.

Cindy Sheehan Brings Anti-War Message To SF School
SAN FRANCISCO -- Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan spoke to students at an assembly at a San Francisco high school Friday. "Almost 1,000" students attended an optional assembly at Lowell High School this morning, according to event organizer Jake Blanc. "The mood was very respectful," Blanc said, as Sheehan talked for roughly 45 minutes about the loss of her son Casey Sheehan in the war in Iraq.
"She talked about her experiences organizing against the war and for the peace movement since her son died," Blanc said. "I'm glad the students were respectful of her viewpoints."
Sheehan made headlines in August, when she camped outside President George W. Bush's Texas ranch saying she wanted to meet with Bush so he could tell her why her son died. The president did not meet with her.

The ol' cutting room floor trick. Funny how they're able to show leftist protesters when thousands of Christian youths had a rally and concert at PacBellAT&Twhatever Park.

Not to mention also that her husband has abandoned her as a result of her actions to capitolize on her sons death.

Well the simple thing is she is a shameless liar and a media whore.
Here she is begging for money last fall in Oakland, California. She raised 20k by lying about what Casey believed in.
Her son re-uped because he believed in America and what it stands for. And to protect his country.
Thanks for the input.

And the tied old "President Bush did not meet with her"
She had had her meeting already.
Sign at the rally.

Good grief!!
San Fransicko has
schools? With
children??
What kind of sick parents would raise children in a place like San Fransicko?
They should be jailed for child abuse.

What is the term for people who screw the dead? Oh my. Well that would be a necrophiliac but in her case she would be a inectrialnecrophiliac. I always just think of her as primordial ooz.

In a world that agonizes over perennial betrayal, cruelty, war, mass slaughter, and other failures of humanity, we passionately long for exemplars of unadulterated goodness and the child, like some sacred icon, has been traditionally placed upon an imaginary altar so that we might revere virtues lacking in ourselves. This is the benchmark of romanticism: to seek virtue and beauty in groups, places, and times which are remote and relatively unknown. Such lack of knowledge preserves the impeccability of the icon.
