WASHINGTON, (AP) --
Sen. Russ Feingold, a potential presidential candidate, said Tuesday he supports giving gays and lesbians the right to marry, again positioning himself to the left of possible 2008 rivals.
"Gay and lesbian people in our country are fighting a mean-spirited movement to harm them and to discriminate against them," Feingold, D-Wis., said in a telephone interview. "I stand with them against that movement, and I'm proud to stand with them."
Feingold said he decided to express his support for gay marriage in response to a Wisconsin constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage and civil unions, which will appear on the state ballot in November.
How do Wisconsin voters feel about gay marriage?
Any polls or votes on the subject?
I wish everyone would be just as much against divorce and remarriage and divorce again and remarriage again and again and again... as they are against gays marrying ONE time to someone they have lived with for 20+ years..... I have a gay nephew.
ROTFLOL!
Now, THAT is scarey. ;o)
"Potential 2008's Dennis Kucinich?"
Sure is lookin' that way. :)
Between this doofus and my CongressLesbian Tammy Baldwin, you'd think that everyone in my state was gay. There are about 10,000 gays in our state out of a population of 5 MILLION normal people. But the Gay Agenda sucks up all the media oxygen and the cash for their self-induced medical problems.
We recently had a "rally" here in Madistan to protest the Gay Marriage Amendment that's going to be voted on, come November...the very one that has Feingold's undies in a bunch today. 700 people showed up. Again, out of 10,000 that should've shown up for "their cause."
What a bunch of hosers. Literally and figuratively. *Rolleyes*

Tell me about it! I live in Oregon where the Gay Agenda is a live and well.
It might make you feel better to know that the Same Sex Marriage amendment was on our ballot in '04, as it was on the ballot in 12 other states. The Gay groups thought that Oregon was their best shot at having it pass, so they dumped most of their money into Oregon.
It went down in a MAJOR defeat! So, don't give up hope! The sane and moral amongst you will take care of you, just like they took care of us.

We're voting in November to amend our State Constitution to make marriage "one man, one woman" via state-wide referendum. Eleven or twelve states did that in 2004, and I'm sure more will be joining us come '08. Wisconsin already has laws on the books that make gay marriage illegal, but after watching radical judges in MA over-rule the will of the people there, we're not taking any chances.
This subject is going to get a lot of play come this fall. Feingold is doing nothing more than positioning himself on the subject early on. I'm sure he thinks he's building capital for a run later.
He's delusional, and I don't know who is feeding his ego these days, because it's not we Wisconsinites. If you've seen my other posts, the largest "crowd" he's been able to rally in the past few weeks has been 450 people, LOL!
Besides, Hillary will "Arkancide" him if he gets too big for his britches. It's the ONLY useful thing about her; the way she'll eat her own when push comes to shove. :)
Sounds great!
Thanks, I'll be watching.
LOLOL!
That's funny. ;o)

There is no doubt in my Military Mind that that is what will happen here as well.
My sister is gay. Until a few weeks ago, she worked for a gay advocacy group in Madison. Eventhough she's my sister, and we DO disagree on politics and her "lifestyle choice," I think I finally convinced her of the "Gay Agenda" and she's running full-bore away from those freaks thanks to all the great data here on FR.
She's not Loud. She's not Proud. She's got her own childhood abuse issues to deal with ("friends" of the family, not our Dad...who has already whooped @ss where appropriate) and as long as she's not trying to get married, or bringing kids into the situation, I can live with it.
And that's my story. Take it for what it's worth. :)
Gay Marriage is not something that people are being "denied." It's something they're pushing to get for themselves, and it's not right. Not right by God's word and not right for society as a whole.
Socialism has already done irreprable harm to our society as a whole and I think people all over the USA are willing to step up and say, "enough is enough."
What's scary is that the impersonation really does sound a lot like him...
Good for you for opening your sister's eyes to the Gay Agenda. And, good for her for being receptive to it. I'm impressed!
I understand how you feel about her lifestyle choice. I, also, understand that her abuse issues may have distorted the way she views the opposite sex. Good for your Dad for "taking care of business" where she is concerned. She's fortunate to be in such a loving and understanding family.
She's your sister, and you love her. I totally understand that. ;o)
I agree, also, with your views on Gay Marriage, and socialism. Both must be stopped, and soon!
I saw that, and she was GREAT!
I LOLed so much I almost fell outta the chair!
Well I am aganist it as much. But the liberals already have made getting a divorce much like taking a dump. Sorry I would not support my brother marrying another man even if he is gay. There is no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage in our culture all the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back was seen as between a man and a woman. We do not need to redefine marriage. Let the gays pick another word and meaning. How about legal hook up.
Just remember who said it first!

Run, Russ, Run! Flap those moonbat wings and fly! make the voters realize what a bunch of far-left nutjobs the RASTS have become!
