Allow me to play devil's advocate:
Does the original language allow a distinction between atomic weapons and atomic power?
Yes, I know that if Iraq was making nuclear power plant fuel that they would also be making weapons grade uranium. Its a distinction that the MSM will make while pretending that Saddam had no intentions of making nuclear weapons.
Just because Al Baradiot didn't know - or tell - of any program in Iraq doesn't mean Saddam didn't have one going, or that it was in Iraq. Libya "confessed" what the Bush & Blair administrations already knew - but haven't talked about- 5 days after Sodamn was "unearthed" .
No way that's a coincidence, and there's been speculation that it was a joint program, but it just as easily could have been an out of country endeavor soley owned by Iraq. Huessein could've made gadafi a deal he couldn't refuse - "let me develop my toys in your sand lot and I'll let you live", and gadafi did a Chamberlin - "No sarin in our time".
All I know is that the entire operation (to dismantle) was as secret as you can get from the start, and the MSM has buried this story like 100 mattresses over a pebble ever since.
