THE HISPANIC CHALLENGE TO AMERICA (S. Huntington)-REPOST-(Very Long Good and Required)
Foreign Affairs ^ | March 2004 | Samuel Huntington

Posted on 04/02/2006 10:05:03 AM PDT by Cacique

The persistent inflow of Hispanic immigrants threatens to divide the United States into two peoples, two cultures, and two languages. Unlike past immigrant groups, Mexicans and other Latinos have not assimilated into mainstream U.S. culture, forming instead their own political and linguistic enclaves—from Los Angeles to Miami—and rejecting the Anglo-Protestant values that built the American dream. The United States ignores this challenge at its peril.

The Elites of the US would love to have a similar servant class here.

I don't think it's just the eiltes in the US who aspire to that either. I think alot of upper middle class folk like to be able to afford maids and nannies and yard workers.

When I was growing up and my Dad was in the military, we lived overseas and had live in maids who also took care of us kids (my Mom worked), a yardboy, a hairdresser who came in and a seamstress who came in. It was great, and we could afford it only because we lived in what were basically 3rd world countries. Life changed dramatically when we returned to the US. ;)

I think alot of people who would normally never be able to afford *servants* can do so now, because the taxpayer is subsidizing them with taxpayer $$$. And they like it.

Tony Snow is a "Davos Republican" who is for open borders, and no meaningful physical border fence, ever. This is why.

"Building a North American Community" by Tony Snow's Council on Foreign Relations.

Why would a member of the CFR (Tony Snow) want to DEFEND America's sovereign borders, when their declared goal is the abolition of American sovereignty, with one common border around our three formerly separate nations?

A real border fence is 180* against their NAC agenda.

At least in the SW, our future options are only surrender, or civil war.

This is the 1st I've heard of La Ratza & MECHa. Where have I been?

You don't "join" the CFR. YOu get invited in. After that, you're on Easy Steet, and the doors just open up in front of you in many important realms. Davos, Aspen, etc. It's very seductive, to be on the world's "A-list" of power. You just have to go along with their program.

Glad your back Travis, your voice and input is greatly needed!

This thread of "history" is fine, but, for centuries countries have fought over land. Nothing new here, except, we are at a cross-roads as a nation.
Our Marines went into the halls of Montezuma then; people fought in the Alamo for a cause. Do we have the grit today as Americans? That's what concerns me. Our laws are seemingly worthless.
Globalization. One World. Countries without borders. I am sick of hearing it and sicker of living it. They have no claim, true, unless we allow them claim. I know I am preaching to the choir. I am appalled. I am concerned. They are criminal invaders and colonizers, pure and simple. They have an agenda. This isn't paranoia from those who voice "concern and objection" to this. It is curious why our government fiddle-faddles on this issue. Bottom line: We don't know who, how many or where they are. This is bigger than "jobs Americans don't want to do."

here not as "immigrants" but as "colonists".

Wow, you nailed it with that statement.

You can do that if you are able, but I'm getting tired of the latest wave of immigrants and BTW that includes some legals, taking for granted what those before them have accomplished in creating an environment both physical and economic in which they can now choose to live and prosper.

This is a cultural/ethnic conflict that - like Huntington mentions regarding Serbia and Bosnia - will ultimately be resolved through violent struggle. Ethnic cleansing, American-style.

The main question is: in whose favor will the resolution ultimately be?

And to those who will pillory me for even suggesting that something like ethnic cleansing could happen in America... well, what did we effectively do to the Indians in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries? Who regrets that it was the whites of America that triumphed, and not the Indians?

Huntington, in his article, makes no bones about who _created_ America: white, European, Christian stock. That is where the culture of America came from.

But, a culture that is unable to believe in itself, and unwilling to defend itself, its ideas - and its territory - is doomed. We are literally creating a "vacuum" into which the 3rd world pours. Not only are we doing nothing to resist, we seem to welcome the invaders in with the promise of health and welfare benefits that the hemmoraging American middle class must _pay for_.

We are doing exactly the same thing to the United States that France has done with the Islamics. THE SAME THING. No difference.

And we will reap the same results. Our culture, our heritage, our ethnicity - will all be REPLACED by that of the invaders.

Look at large areas of California _NOW_. And then, look around you.

We are being destroyed by our own guilt and fear. The invaders do not need to resort to violence against us, for we seem all-too-ready to surrender our land to them. So they keep coming, and coming, and coming, and coming (need I go on?)

I fear, though, that we cannot rid ourselves of THEM without considerable turmoil and bloodshed.

- John
