What Can We Do About the Invasion of Our Country by Illegal Aliens?
Self | April 2, 2006 | Supernatural

Posted on 04/02/2006 5:03:54 AM PDT by Supernatural

This thread is meant to be a discussion on what we, the citizens of the United States, can do to make our politicians aware that we are fed up with the invasion of our country by illegal aliens. How can we fight back? What are our options? Which options have the best chance of working?

We have a chance to put some pressure on our elected representatives because this is an election year. The only real weapon we have to use against our representatives is our vote.

There has been some discussion as to what we might be able to do on several other threads. Some ideas suggested were:

A national rally and march to be held at some future date in Washington, D.C. that should be done before our legislators pass any new bill concerning the illegal aliens.

A campaign to send postcards informing our representatives on our feelings about the illegal aliens.

Make telephone calls to our representatives' offices.

Some other options:

Rallys and marches in several main locations around the country on the same day, such as in Washington, D.C., a city in Texas and a city in California.

Rallys and marches in many cities around the country on the same day.

A petition campaign where volunteers gather signatures of registered voters and forward the petitions to our representatives.

In addition to what I have here, FReepers are encouraged to add their own ideas or to pick the plan that they think will work the best. Discuss the advantages and drawbacks of any plan.

I think the rally and march ideas will be the hardest plan to execute. Permits will be required which would not be that much of a problem. Enlisting guest speakers, getting P.A. equipment together, paying for sanitation facilities (portapotties), paying for cleanup and paying for insurance and security make this the most difficult option. Travel and lodging make this option somewhat time consuming and expensive. There is also the possibility of violence being instigated by the other side.

I favor a petition campain. Here is why and here is how I think we could work it.

Many on FR would be willing to send in a postcard. But if friends, acquantinces and co-workers are approached about sending their representative a postcard many simply would not bother to do it. Too much work for them.

It would be much easier to get them to sign their names and addresses on a petition. It is something that they could do immediately.

If each interested person on FR could print up a petition and get 20 signatures on it and send it in that could mean a lot of signatures.

If each interested person on FR could get 20 signatures on a petition and pass out other petitions to his friends and other interested people to get 20 signatures on, that would be a lot more signatures. The FReeper could collect all the petitions from his friends and others and send them all in at once.

We need some ideas on how the petition should be worded. Most of us have printers and we can print our own petitions.

In addition to the petition, FReepers could be encouraged to call and to write their representatives. Let them know that we mean business.

Please discuss any ideas you have on this thread. What do you think is the best idea or combination of ideas? Do you have any ideas to add?

We need to generate an offense, so let's roll!

BTW, India is deporting 20 million illegal aliens from Bangladesh as we speak.

Well, isn't that special?

To steal someone else's tagline:

"Taxation WITH representation hasn't worked out so well, either."

Yours is truly a horror story. I wonder how many others there are like it?

Hannity and Colmes have a series going called It Could Happen To You. The theme is unfair use of eminent domain, but if they heard your story, it might give them another cause to champion.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Thank you, Jo.

Looks like this thread is a flop. It was supposed to be for figuring out what we can do. Other than a few posts like yours, it has turned into another thread discussing the situation rather than coming up with solutions to the problem.

However, that isn't all bad.

Make a well defined demand. AJFavish had an excellent one the other day.

Why doesn't your son start his own business and be his own boss.

I am sure you'll be a lead investor to help get the company off the ground.

I thought I did. I gave several courses of action we could take, then I asked for other ideas.

I don't think I could have made the theme of this thread any more clear.

I really think most people have no idea of even where to begin. The situation is out of control. Or their ox hasn't been gored yet, so they see no need for a solution.

Too many people are worried about the Republicans getting voted out of office and the 'rats gaining full control.

How about we and our children work real hard at becoming fluent in spanish, so we won't be marginalized when the invaders have us outnumbered after a few more years of our politicians sitting on their hands and doing nothing, for fear of being called xenophobes.

How would you suggest that we get that job done?

I would suggest towns, townships, cities...all across America withhold all tax monies to their respective States, and the Federal Government.

His suggestion appealed to my sense of simplicity. A federal illegal alien exception to liability insurance. Simple, clear, easily definable in written legislation, seemingly modest but powerful.

I suggest developing a legal theory to sue the employers of black market labor--illegal employment violates the rights of US citizen employees and US legal resident employees.

If you're denied employment, or decent legal remuneration, or are out-bid by a contractor using black-market labor...why can't you sue?,/i>

Another thing--if you are hiring a contractor to do a job, ask them if they employ illegal aliens before you hire them.

Aim for center of mass so if you miss the small spot you still hit something.

Legal action takes forever. And few cases would ever even make it to court.

You have to pay an attorney to take a case. Attornies are very expensive.

But you do have a point. The "system" make it impossible to get much done except for making huge amounts of money for attornies.

We talk but we don't DO anything.

BITCHING on the BLOGS = *** BLITCHING *** !

Don't be discouraged. This needs media behind it. While
we were feasting and taking in marriage, Myspace, Spanish
Radio and Craigslist was amassing an army of under aged,
addle brained kool-aid drinkers.

Rom 2:20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

For all of our knowledge, we are worthless.

Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
