LONGMONT, Colo. (April 1) - Dozens of high school students protested a temporary school policy forbidding students from displaying the U.S. flag- (SNIP)
Students were warned about the policy Friday and several were suspended, although Stumpf would not provide details. Then, about 100 students protested during lunch time.
Student Dustin Carlson told Denver station KCNC-TV that he was suspended for two days.

May we assume that the Pledge of Allegiance is not being said in this school? After all, it might be an occasion for some students to pledge earnestly and loudly, and this principal seems to consider that sort of thing inappropriate!
Thinking back to the sixties here, can anyone imagine a child suspended from school for honoring the flag, and finally being escorted back into school by federal marshals? Past a gauntlet of angry illegals? Is that where we're going? Are there now areas of the US where the American flag is now considered hate speech, and local officials can ban it?
You are right. Hope you saw my later post. I made an assumption WITHOUT even going into the site. Sorry!
No.
They know exactly what they are doing.
Every school teacher and administrator, and certainly every union hack is familiar with the goals of the Humanist Manifesto.
The "ignorant" ones are those who profess to be patriots or "conservatives" but send their children to be indoctrinated (brainwashed) in our government schools.
Talk about the useful idiots or ignorant masses - as Lenin would have called them.
If every "conservative" parent would remove their children from the public schools, the entire system would collapse. You'd see "school choice" and vouchers instituted overnight. But it will never happen because conservatives like to bellyache, but few actually roll-up their sleeves, take a stand, and act on their principles. It's just easier to send your kids off and misguidedly hope that somehow, their particular school is not the same as 99.99 percent of the rest.
Call me cynical but ... anyone notice the dateline on this story?
Thank you. I am glad you wrote too!

Subject: Respectfully, do not ban the flag !!!!
Mr. Stumpf:
Respectfully, sir, your decision to ban the display of the American Flag is the worst decision I have ever heard of. It sends a terrible message. Where is your support for this country?
Skyline High School Principal Tom Stumpf said American flags were brazenly waved in the faces of Hispanic students and in one case a Mexican flag was thrown into the face of another student.
"When it involves the American flag and its abuse in vilifying other people, we simply will not tolerate it," Stumpf said. "They were using the symbol derisively as misguided patriotism."
I am appalled that you, as an educator, cannot control your students.
Instead, through your ignorant and cowardly action, you desecrate our flag even further.
I pray not for long, sir. I pray that you will be replaced and soon. Perhaps you do too.
Just sent him a love letter.
Enough said.
According to the video, you are assuming incorrectly. The pledge is said everyday according to one student and here all flags were banned not just the US flag and it was done because the principal felt they were distraction to learning.
Thanks to you and your family for their service to our country. I can hardly imagine how angry you must be, because I have nothing to compare with your family's record of sacrifice (although my dad served briefly in Germany after being liberated by the American Third Army), and I am mad as hell and think its time to send in the National Guard and restore American sovereignty in this high school.
And that puts you in the minority.
That's ok, keep your head in the sand until it's too late.
Pretty soon, you'll be proudly reading the kookran in schools, under diversity while praising the mexican revolution where we lost texas and california.
yeah, everything is fine, all is well....
Wake up and try reality.
People, sending emails to Stumpf is okay, but if you really want things to happen, go over his head and contact the higher ups in his district... Remember he has people he has to answer to.
How mandy teachers are supporting the students with American flag lapel pins and so forth? If I were there I would.
Ping!
I would say that this principal is falling back on zero tolerance "reasoning".
