Is she trying to claim that she was forced to praise her kidnappers and trash the US in the interview we saw on TV of her in the green headscarf, etc. after her release? I am thoroughly confused.

"this was a post-kidnapping interview,"
I don't think she felt exactly "free" with that "party" she was entrusted with.

As soon as she got some Western clothes she put them on BS! Does no one remember she was wearing the burka long before capture? She LOVED the culture, identified with it! PERFECT for use by insurgent propagandists!
She'll be back with the veil in no time..condemning those who condemn the insurgents....sure enough..

Were there other woman hostages?

Maybe a liberal who just took her first step toward becoming a conservative. Ine defintion of a conservative is a liberal who was mugged last night.

You know, we have but to go back less than 10 generations and we'll find virtually all of your adult female ancestors wearing the same rags.
It's also quite ordinary for women in this country to cover their hair in church (as do brides at their weddings).
It's not like our own women don't practice this custom. Rather, you just don't notice it.

I remember that video of the Italian getting murdered who told his captors to go to hell and to "watch how an Italian dies". That guy had major stones..

a.k.a., damage control.
She seemed too relaxed, to at ease, to unstressed on some of those videos.
After the Italian woman got a fist full of ransom dollars, we need to be skeptical of these 'captures/kidnappings' of the do-gooders.
Early in the Iraq War, there were (later) some suspicions that some Japanese captives might actually have been helping the enemy.

They should have to post bail ahead of time if they go over, so it can be used to pay the soldiers/ rescuers. Why should we do bail-out on these idiots? I am glad she is free and I suspect she has changed her opinion re al Q.

You have it almost completely correct except the Sunni political party was in fact her captors all along. Do you think it was a coincidence she was released to their office?
It was intentional. They made a big show of her kissing up to her jailers.

Not always, Margaret Hasan was killed and so was Nick Berg. I think a lot depends on the group and the individual situation. Tom Fox was killed also.

I hope your wrong, time will tell. I hope she saw the light and realizes what a great culture and country she left behind in becoming a mouth piece for animals. She now has a new lease on life and hopefully a new view.

After what she went through wouldn't you just want to get out of the country before saying anything?
She may have even been asked by the US military to keep it tame until she gets out as to not make their job more difficult. Who knows.

Yeah, and ten generations ago they wiped with grass and used rags for kotex. Times change, except in cultures that are trapped in their primitive pasts.
