That certainly could have happened. I am getting antsy about the "neighbor" like I said up the thread; he's revising and embellishing his story the more interviews he does. He's a Gladys Kravtiz wannabe, IMO.

I believe he saw something, but by this time he has seen and read so many media reports that I'm sure that they are starting to meld with his actually memory of what he thought he saw.

If "Kim" left before the attack, why was she around to take the accuser to Kroger? Didn't the accuser say they met for the first time that night?

That's what she said in the original N&O interview.

So why did they drive to a Kroger store to make their "report of rape"...rather than driving to the police station?

Maybe they just didn't know where the police station was?

According to the memory impaired Mr. Bissey in the link below, they arrived, came outside after 20 min., got into ONE car amidst a crowd of angry, slur-spewing party-goers. Then after a time when things calmed down, ONE woman went back in to get her shoes. If an attack occurred, that would likely have been the time imo ... with "Kim" remaining in the car outside.

You've never had acrylic nails have you? These girls don't use Lee Press On nails anymore. They go for the expensive acrylics. Having had them myself, I can tell you they don't come off easily and when they do come off without being taken off properly by the manicurist, it hurts.

I got them one time and was rushing through a door and got my fingernail jammed into the little metal thing on the door frame. It was torture pulling it out and it only barely pulled up one side of the artificial nail. I can imagine how painful it would be to have the whole thing pulled off. I'll never get them again!

I heard "artificial fingernails" on one of the cable news shows. I know it wasn't Nancy Grace--she already has the whole lacrosse team tried and convicted on her show.

Thanks for explaining the Duke admissions policies. Many who don't have children in college don't understand how this works.

Good question. I'm wondering why she told the N.O. reporter that her Dad came to the hospital but he told a reporter that he only heard about it through the press. Could she be lying?

At this point, who knows.

But they both talked to reporters, so it's not rumor. It's words out of their own mouths.

Okay, so Duke own the house. That means they could be held liable (a stretch perhaps but not so far-flung that some lawyers wouldn't try it). They essentially put the jocks in the house.

Mr. Bissey-body says the house has often been the scene of loud parties and the police have been called out there four other times in seven months.

There's a lot to the accuser's story that doesn't add up but there are some things from the player's side that makes you wonder too.

BTW, it is probably an older house given its location near campus and I've been in some older homes where there is more room in the bathroom than you'd find in newer homes. Four people could fit in one old home's bathroom I remember living in for a time. It wouldn't be comfortable but it would be large enough to do the deed and this was a very modest home I am talking about.

This is not going to be an easy case. At least not without some breakthrough like a DNA match.

I doubt they knew where the police station was especially if they're not from that part of town. I couldn't tell you where is the nearest police station to my house as, thankfully, I've never had a chance to need it. That particular Kroger has, for years been open 24/7 IIRC.

I did not know that. Thanks - it makes sense. But I have to ask, if someone removed numbers from that house I would doubt it was someone with the university. Who in any offical capacity would have the poor judgement to remove evidence from a crime scene especially as it would probably be pretty hard to cover up the fact that numbers had formerly been there?

I knew this for a long time. If you're really interested read a recent book called "Admissions Confidential". The writer, whose name I forget, was IMHO pretty bonkers and really hated Duke for a variety of reasons, but I believe she accurately described how the admissions process works.

Well, it's been a long time since my nail wearing days (yuk, yuk). From your experience it sounds like it's fairly easy to damage them even if it's painful. It's interesting that this woman can afford the high-class nails but maybe the IRS lets her write them off as a "business expense". Myself, I've never understood the attraction of those nails as they, ummm, easily give out accidental scratches.

According to documents posted at Smokinggun.com the house numbers were on the front of the house black numbers 610 as of March 16th. The incident and 911 call were March 13-14 time frame. At least part of the alleged victim's account of events is listed on documents at smoking gun and there are first "names" for the alleged bathroom assailants.

Are you kidding? Do you really think this girl files taxes on the money she earns from "escort services"? You don't know much about this line of work and the types of people who do it do you?
