You've never had acrylic nails have you? These girls don't use Lee Press On nails anymore. They go for the expensive acrylics. Having had them myself, I can tell you they don't come off easily and when they do come off without being taken off properly by the manicurist, it hurts.

I got them one time and was rushing through a door and got my fingernail jammed into the little metal thing on the door frame. It was torture pulling it out and it only barely pulled up one side of the artificial nail. I can imagine how painful it would be to have the whole thing pulled off. I'll never get them again!

Well, it's been a long time since my nail wearing days (yuk, yuk). From your experience it sounds like it's fairly easy to damage them even if it's painful. It's interesting that this woman can afford the high-class nails but maybe the IRS lets her write them off as a "business expense". Myself, I've never understood the attraction of those nails as they, ummm, easily give out accidental scratches.
