In a Friday afternoon news conference, Georgia Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-4th) said that the altercation between she and a Capitol police officer was started by the officer "inappropriately touching and stopping" her after she walked past a security checkpoint.
Prior to the news conference that, at times, seemed more like a church revival meeting, one of McKinney's lawyers, James W. Myart Jr. said that her problems with police are racial in nature.
Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans across this country, is, too, a victim of the excessive use of force by law enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin, Myart said. Ms. McKinney is just a victim of being in Congress while black.
McKinneys office on Thursday afternoon, released a video clip from the independent documentary American Blackout, in which McKinney is questioned by a Capitol police officer who does not immediately recognize her. In the clip, she implies that the questioning is because she is black.

How is it that official Washington can get its collective knickers in a twist over the Dubai Ports issue because of its Emirates connection and now we have a member of congress who is essentially owned the(by) Arabs? What's up with that?"
Republicans like her because she is easy to get along with and the UAE likes her when she "gets easy". The boring boardrooms at the UAE must be full of guys back-slapping about the US Congress at work.

If she is not charged I would encourage the Capitol Police to walk off the job.

Cynthia's trying to look sexy, more like one of those middle aged chicks who go to Jamaica to "get their groove back" but wind up marrying a closeted "batty boy" (are you listening Terry McMillan?).
Great article.

If you or I had done this, we would have been arrested on the spot.
To play the race card is disgustingly absurd. I hope the capitol police push this for all it is worth.

Is she trying to insinuate he was sexually harrassing her? LOL That's how the "statement" reads.
Throw her cop assaulting butt in jail.

We're on the same page:)! You're a woman with hair-handling experience. What can you do to convince Cynthia to dump the exploding Brillo look and straighten it out? I know a Black American woman that can switch back and forth and look like a different woman every day of the week.
She needs some TV time at her prettiest.

I saw her "announcement". The card playin was so blatant that it almost made me puke.
If I was a cop I woulda stopped her too. With that hair and bug eyes she looks like she can snap at any moment.
