Not Rush today. Rush is going to a cast party for the TV Show "24" tonight. Will be back tomorrow. Suppose to be Mark Belling
Don't worry about it LL. I get a kick out of how the DNC Mouthpieces like "Clintonwasthebest" always get so rabidly hysteric when the true consequences of their actions are pointed out to them.
Yep, that is one thing about Rush, he does not fixate like the guest host do. He keeps the show moving.
You're right. I have less patience than you do with ignorance.
Actually many Mexican immigrants who are here legally would disagree. Every once in a while INS used to "raid" the Monfort plant in Grand Island. It was usually a Mexican worker with a green card who turned them in
The thread leader is calling people trolls and telling them to buzz off. That's not very nice in my book if they're only trying to make a point and not being sarcastic.
But like Mark and Rush keep telling us you CANNOT send 11-13 million people home.
Well Mark and Rush have a right to their opinion but it's a strawman argument they're making to say it's either amnesty or massive deportation, as if there's no other choice. Most of those who are responsible in the debate call for a program of attrition, which is you enforce the laws as they're encountered. Not very many believe, myself included that shipping everyone home at once is possible or feasible.
So far we don't have either one in many areas.

MNJohnnie can and usually does speak for himself--but I know he was protecting the integrity of the thread for those of us who actually LISTEN to Rush (or Mark, or Laura, or Sean or Tony). Now if you don't believe that shipping everyone home "at once" is possible or feasible, then we ought to work out a way to AMERICANIZE them. Those who carry Mexican Flags: GO HOME. If you want to speak English and become an American the old fashioned way, let's welcome them. My Thai Wife is the pride of my life and she went through the whole process and she is now a PROUD American who votes Conservative Republican. Do you?
In any event, what we are witnessing now in Congress is a charade. We are supposed to believe that Congress is doing something about the problem. In reality, it is all for show. We can't enforce the rules we have now. What are the penalties for the illegals already here who don't comply with the new legislation? What would be the incentive for them to pay penalties, be liable for taxes, dislcose their whereabouts, undergo a background check, and wait in line for five years knowing full well that the rules could change again? I seriously doubt there would be that many takers for this form of amnesty
"Not very many believe, myself included that shipping everyone home at once is possible or feasible."
No need to "ship" anyone, or everyone home. Simply make it a federal crime to employ an illegal, and make it a federal crime to provide any taxpayer-funded social program support to an illegal (except for medical care in a life-threatening situation) and they'll leave on their own. It would cost us less to get them out than it currently costs us to keep them here.
Mark Belling........ good for him.... just said the most simple and correct thing on this issue (but of course nobody is doing it).
He said that politicians are supposed to go to Washington to DEAL WITH AND FIX PROBLEMS. It seems few of these scumball politicians want to do nothing of the sort. This is a sick and dying country.
FReeper are for pointing out the truth.
Exactly what truth are you pointing out, that those who don't fall in line with your globalist agenda are "rabid democrat socialist"?
kabar, you are just making so much sense on this issue. I really appreciate your comments.
"Although it will go whizzing above the head of the immigration jihadist purists on FR."
Define immigration jihadist purists, please.
Do any of the Illegal Immigration Reform crowd even realize what a huge problem we have with illegals form SE Asia? Central Asia? Africa? People go to great lengths to get here. It is here they have something completely lacking in their homes. Hope for their children.
Living here, even as part of the Underground Economy, is so vastly better then anything they can hope for at home they are NOT going to leave unless we make them. There will be next to NO attrition no matter how much the we may wish for it.
Simply amazing to me how ignorant most Americans are about what a complete cesspool most of the 3rd world is. You are either going to have to stop them coming, or ship them home. They are NOT going to willingly leave.
Here's a much quoted supposedly anti-guest worker statement by Rush...
RUSH:
they want to turn illegals into legal with a stroke of the pen and with a program. But to become a legal immigrant in this country you've got to go through a process, and these people are not, and we're going to just waive that process and we're doing it on the basis, "Ah, so many here we couldn't take backward steps on it anyway."
The next part of the call restored my faith in my dearly-loved Rush. He said:
"Okay, even if you have an amnesty program, at some point, whether you call it that or notguest worker program, whatever you want to call itat some point we're going to have to start enforcing all of this so that the immigrants that do get in here are legal, even the ones that end up working for you."

There you have it, what passes for a Rush condemnation of "guest worker" from early 2005.
At best he praises "guest worker" with faint condemnation.
At worst when he says they must "go through a process" what he means is a "guest worker" program.
The enforcement first line does not entirely cover for his soft sell of "guest worker".
And how many times has Rush helped sell "guest worker" by saying "These are jobs Americans won't do"?
Answer, too many times to count.
He's put this "guest worker" selling guest host on in his place.
Why did he put him on, if not to sell "guest worker"?
Please point out any other anti-guest worker statements by Rush, cause I'm not seeing them.
What I'm seeing is double talk to disguise and make more palatable his support for the program.
He is wonderful and I really liked Seattle/Bremerton/Bainbridge very much! Never been to that part of the world until last week! The sun was shining and we did a lot of things while we were visiting! Went to Olymipic National Park - beautiful! Thanks for asking! So.....you think Jack got his hair singed the other night?
