House Majority Leader John A. Boehner refused yesterday to rule out compromising with the Senate to expand the House border security bill to include a guest-worker program or provisions that opponents call "amnesty." "Let's wait and see what the Senate can produce," he told reporters yesterday when asked whether House Republicans would reject the Senate Judiciary Committee's proposal to allow the estimated 12 million illegal aliens now in the U.S. to seek citizenship after paying a fine.

Ya got me on that code, but I imagine I'm probably better off not being able to decipher it. :-)

" If you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to get them."
Get involved in state and local politics within you party, let them know who you are in the grassroots.
Be informed and knowledgeable about the issues you are writing them about, and when they do vote for your favored position write a short thank-you note.
Give it a try, you might be surprised.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave this thread. You're being entirely too logical. And me, onyx and Howlin were very recently promoted to mods, so don't cross us! LOL!
I am thinking about tendering my resignation (the no drinking rule is worrisome if it includes KOOL-AID).
Good post, Southack.
I pinged tobyhill to it, so please know that I read it too.

I led the protests in San Diego in 2000 after the elections and was in charge of San Diego County precinct data systems in 2004, Republican Volunteer of the year in 2005. I don't give a crap about what Republicans think, most of them talk the talk but don't walk the walk.
All I have have found is a bunch of rich bastards cutting deals so they can get richer. I think that it would be fun to watch the socialists take all of their stuff. I may even help them. This is how the Russian revolution started.
The line in the sand has been crossed.

If it's so easy, why do are you so afraid to address even one of us? You don't have to start with the "A" team. Just try addressing someone, anyone
that won't by default applaud whatever you spew.
How about if I coax you with a tasty piece of cheese?

The issue is whether there will be guest worker-amnesty included in the any border enforcement bill, or whether the House will demand HR 4437 become the new law of the land. I support the latter. Does HR 4437 address the 12 million illegal aliens currently in the US? If HR 4437 finally allows us to control the ongoing illegal immigration, I don't have a problem with an amnesty for those currently here, for the reasons mentioned in my previous post. Let's hope HR4437 passes, and delivers.

Oh no, not the race card! Oh, the shame!!!! If only we were able to keep the civil discourse on parallel with "Bushbot" and "Koolaid." But no, we have sunk into the abyss!! Alas!

We can enforce such a program. This is not a question of ability, but of will and determination.I think you're correct. Of course we won't catch and deport ALL of the illegals, but we can deport enough of them that would-be immigrants will see that it's a lot harder to get her and stay here than in the past. We can crack down on ENOUGH employers of illegals to make it less worth their while to hire them. We CAN build a wall from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico.
It's my perception that people who say we can't do any of this are those who have different goals than we do.
To: Jimbaugh
Gee, Jimmy, you'll pardon me if I don't buy your line of crap, right? LOL
You need to lose the class-warfare angle. That's like page one of the book, Jimbo!
Give it another try!
