House Majority Leader John A. Boehner refused yesterday to rule out compromising with the Senate to expand the House border security bill to include a guest-worker program or provisions that opponents call "amnesty." "Let's wait and see what the Senate can produce," he told reporters yesterday when asked whether House Republicans would reject the Senate Judiciary Committee's proposal to allow the estimated 12 million illegal aliens now in the U.S. to seek citizenship after paying a fine.

?
He hasn't even vetoed bills that are unconstitutional, or bills that he opposes, so why would his first veto be of an amnesty bill that he agrees with in its entirety?
Cogent
How times have changed...NOT.
If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, TRY THIS:
Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense.
Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.
Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.
Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc. Procreate abundantly.
Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behavior with,
"It is a cultural U.S.A.thing.
You would not understand, pal."
Keep your American identity strong.
Fly Old Glory from your rooftop,
or proudly display it in your front window
or on your car bumper.
Speak only English at home and in public
and insist that your children do likewise
Demand classes on American culture
in the Mexican school system.
Demand a local Mexican driver license.
This will afford other legal rights and will go far to
legitimize your unauthorized, illegal, presence in Mexico
Drive around with no liability insurance
and ignore local traffic laws.
Insist that local Mexican law enforcement
teach English to all its officers.
Good luck!
You'll be demanding for the rest of time or soon be dead.
Because it will never happen.
It will not happen in Mexico or any other country
in the world except right here in
the United States, Land of the naive and stupid,
idiotic politically correct politicians.
If you agree, pass it on.
If you don't, go ahead and try the above in Mexico or Iraq
gotcha. perhaps the French have a term for the emotion I described... they are useful in that respect. they did, after all, coin the term "l'esprit d'escalier"
welcome to the modern replay of the decline and fall of the later western roman empire.
Cobarde.
I agree, but all he has to do is answer a straight question and I won't consider him one. ;)
See, in debate, one makes a point, and then a counterpoint is offered. When called upon to simply state how YOUR way would be an improvement, you can't answer--possibly because you aren't posting your thoughts, merely repeating something someone else said or wrote.
I asked how YOUR way would change things; in response you wrote "What a putz." That's a real ringing endorsment of your position--when called on to back it up--and possibly win over others reading this thread--you call names.
Maybe after SAVAGE!Weiner gives you your answers on tomorrow's show you'll respond with something that elevates the discussion. But I doubt it.
As far as I know Pemex never turned a profit and because of the Mexican laws prohibitingg direct foreign investment in oil resources doesn't have the capital (or expertise) to explot fully the reserves....much less than the new deep-water oil just found in the Gulf.
For an example of how Mexican capitalism works when unfettered take a look at the CEMEX stock price.
Trying that old reasonable thing, well, it won`t work here. (I agree with you by the way)
You are really a a a a a 9 years old.
What a stupid post!
WOW, I`m so thankful Freepers have guys like you that have all the answers to every problem. If you are up to it, love to help you come back to earth.
Where did Sammon go?
I knew that you would respond with insult.
And there you go, proving my point for me.
It must be difficult for you to wash the mud off after you wallow in it so much. I believe it has left you unable to debate fairly.
I wonder if there is an internet corollary to the old wives' tale "if you make faces, your face will freeze that way."
