Boehner hints a back down on 'amnesty'
The Washington Times ^ | March 29, 2006 | Charles hurt

Posted on 03/29/2006 7:15:28 AM PST by surely_you_jest

House Majority Leader John A. Boehner refused yesterday to rule out compromising with the Senate to expand the House border security bill to include a guest-worker program or provisions that opponents call "amnesty." "Let's wait and see what the Senate can produce," he told reporters yesterday when asked whether House Republicans would reject the Senate Judiciary Committee's proposal to allow the estimated 12 million illegal aliens now in the U.S. to seek citizenship after paying a fine.

Searched, but could not find this.

Either the fix is in, or Boehner is trying to increase the bidding.

Characterizing this as backing down is ridiculous. The house and the senate are not going to get their specific bills. They will have to be reconciled. Something has to give or there will be no bill.

The Republicans must really want to lose this election.

That is the wording of the headline in the Washington Times.

But yet some will jump all over it.

I knew that, didn't mean to be criticizing you, simply the wording of the headline.

With Bill Sammon gone from the Washington Times I notice a decided anti republican slant.

Hope I'm wrong.

If you have already seen this, my apologies for repeating it. I'm trying in my own little way to get our legislators attention in the only way that works for us 'little people'; by hitting them in their pockets.

I spent all night working on another pseudo-bill to send these rinos and the RNC every time they ask for money:

(click for high resolution image)

If you like my work on this, then Right click on THIS LINK and do a 'save as' to download a full sheet set up for great quality printouts on letter sized paper

Then print out a bunch and send them in when these RINOS ask for more money.... (I imagine they are getting used to getting the sacredcowburgers BushPesos by now,so these ought to get their attention once again.)

They may look a little funny on your monitor, but they print quite nicely, especially on color inkjet or color laser printers.

Don't try to spend them!

If they vote for anything resembling the Senate bill the Republicans can kiss power goodbye.

Here's the man you need to contact:

John Boehner, Majority (not for long if this keeps us) Leader of the House, who announced his impending plans to complete the sellout of this country in the Washington Post:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/28/AR2006032801665.html

House Majority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) said that he hopes the Senate will pass what he called "a responsible border security bill," but he indicated he is willing to rethink the House approach. After meeting with ranchers and law enforcement officers on the U.S.-Mexican border, Boehner said those living on the frontier did not believe the House-passed border wall would work.

"If the people on the border don't believe that the wall will have the effect that people here think, then we ought to reconsider it," he said.

Boehner also said he knows of no promises that House GOP leaders have given to anti-immigration firebrands to block House consideration of a guest worker program.

- end quote -

Boehner, a big business Republican, seems intent to designate negotiators for the House who will cave into the Senate amnesty provisions and ensure fat donations to Boehner for years to come from big business. If you wish to do whatever you can to stop this treason, contact Boehner now.

Simply uttering the word "Amnesty" brings another flood of illegals.

The Republicans must really want to lose this election.

Negative. They want to win and see this as a winning issue. Only rabidly IGNORANT fools will criticize the sensible action that the President and Congress are putting into place. If the GOP loses -anything-, it is ALWAYS the fault of the people who sit out or vote for third party.

Viva la GOP!! It can do no wrong!!

Better no bill than a guest worker amnesty.

"The Republicans must really want to lose this election"

They'll lose me. Time for change in this country. If it takes another four years of socialist democrats in the presidency to wake up the idiot zombie bush bots from their republican drugged stupor, then so be it.

Why is that a bad thing?

The only bill that will be enacted is the Reconquista/amnesty disaster that just passed the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Are you actually suggesting that passing a bill that will ensure the GOP forfeits both houses of Congress-which it is already in danger of doing already-and gives amnesty to millions of illegal aliens is preferable to the status quo?
