Moussaoui defence attacks US
Herald Sun ^ | 29 March 2006

THE defence ended its case in the Zacarias Moussaoui death penalty trial on Tuesday, throwing the spotlight on the US government failure to detect the September 11 plot.

The defence team, that Moussaoui has rejected, returned to the attack on the US government handling of intelligence assessment before September 11, 2001, hoping to cast doubt on the prosecution claim that Moussaoui's "lies" allowed time for strikes to go ahead in New York and Washington.

That's the best they can do?

What are we talking here, folks...lethal injection, Ol' Sparky, or a good old fashioned hanging???

This SOB should fry. No lethal injection. No hanging. No firing squad.

Fry him. He KNEW what was going down, and is just as guilty as any of those beasts on the planes. Just as guilty.

"That's the best they can do?"

You can't polish a turd, you know.

My theory would have been that he was a bit player with delusions of graduer and couldn't have done what he claimed to have done --- which is true --- thereby casting doubt on what he confessed to and did.

Seems to me he's still combat ready, so it would be quite appropriate for one of the US Marshalls present in the court room to just gun him down where he sits.

Judge too if she gets in the way of this POS.

As much as I would like to see this clown die, its really giving him what he wants, martyrdom.

Perhaps it would be better to give him life in the general population of a tough federal prison. While he might well be killed, it wouldn't be the martyr's death he wants.
