I have great faith in the power of our system. We fight amongst ourselves but in the end, the America people "get it right" a lot more than we blow it. Now is the time for us to get it right.
Today we are facing the long simmering question of what to do with the illegal invaders who flood our country. Americans are a slow to boil over, live-and-let-live people. We are a nation of immigrants. We don't hate people because of where they come from and we are always looking to open our doors to those who want to follow our laws and become good Americans. Nevertheless, enough is enough.
All we want is to see a sensible end to this question. We have let the politicians try to handle it as we sat back and waited. The time for waiting is now over. These people obviously need a quick infusion of backbone.
We must be the adults here. We must remind these children, Democrat and Republican alike, about just how they got to where they are. We put them in office and we can take them out of office. Now is the time to send the message loud and clear. "Get this thing solved now!"
Each of the Senators listed below is up for election this year. Contact your Senator and send the message: Enforce the borders, Send criminal illegals back first then as many others as we can, and hand out stiff punishments to employers who make this county a temptation these illegals can't resist. And of course DO IT NOW! Don't tell us these illegals waving Mexican and other flags through our streets have had an effect on you. We don't want to hear that. We are the American voter and you damned well better listen to us!

I couldn't agree more. Clearly they think they can just walk over us, and the only power we have is our vote. Neither of my senators is up for election this year, but I'm writing to them anyway.
bttt
The traitors will NOT listen to we the people. They proved that yesterday didn't they? I emailed, faxed and called my "representatives" to pass HR4437 and even stronger legislation, sure dream on.
See them all at the polls in 2006 and 2008. Of course we won't have to worry about 2008 anymore the socialist liberal democrats who were once referred to as illegal aliens, have been allowed to stay in this Country so guess who they will vote for?
Amen!!! If they fail us on this issue, I'm ready to support a future 3rd party candidate who will truly represent the American Electorate.
Down with the status quo and business as usual!!
You a few others will support a third party candidate, this ensuring Majority Leader Reid & Speaker of the House Pelosi.
That'll teach them a lesson!
Just what legislation of Reid and Pelosi's do you support?
Sadly, getting Lugar out of office or even threatening to vote him out, just won't work in Indiana.
Hoosiers will go kicking and screaming to change their alarm clocks this weekend. Change here just doesn't happen.
But I wrote him anyway.
I agree 100 Per Cent. I might add that I think the key is to gain control of our borders (all of them), any immigration bill is just an amnesty plan in disguise.
We already have plenty of laws on the books. Enforce them.
Bump for reference.
Welcome to Free Republic.
The Dims spend all of their time trying to find ways to make Bush look bad while, the Pubes run around trying to not fall into the same pit the Pres. is in. 6 Yrs. of wasting time instead of dealing with the important issues.
Fascinating! Tell me more.
If Jon Kyl let's this go through, not only will I not vote Republican, but I'll vote Democrat. Remind us what the Republican Congress has accomplished anyway?
Your problem is that you support the Party no matter what they do even when they fail to represent their members and the supposed party platform. I'm tired of people like you using this scare tactic to try to get members to fall in line telling everyone that if we don't vote for any Republican we'll end up with a Pelosi or Reid.
The Party is beholden to its core members, i.e., those that elected them. Perhaps the Republican Party needs to lose a couple of elections in order to start to voting its membership. I thought this was a representative government.
Exactly. hillary is just securing her voter base, since getting the vote for felons and the mentally disabled didn't happen.
They got where they are by getting the money ... and "those what brought them" are the large, cheap-labor loving corporations..
You mean that people vote for a candidate based on fundraising totals?
Please enlighten us on this conspiracy theory.
