The DUmmies are overjoyed and have decided that indictments are coming.

They always think indictments are coming. They dream of indictments. And they're still bitter that "Fitzmas" didn't deliver the indictments that they wanted.

Fire McClellan.

I am hoping he will quit, to join his mother in her bid for Governor of Texas.

You know that he is the son of Carole Keeton Strayhorn who is seeking to get her name on the Texas ballot.

No surprise. This was rumored to be in the works a few months ago. No doubt Coleman and other weak kneed Rep heard this was coming and explains ther calls for a "shakeup" so they could pretend credit. They'll receive none on this end, this has nothing to do with them.

Look, I had some problems with Card (Miers) but he DID acknowledge & praise Freepers and for that he deserves some praise in judgement, correct? ;-)

I wish him well and thank him for his service to country.

They can imply all they want - for the first half a day, maybe. Then the WH press release with all the info that's everyone's business will be issued. Then the media looks stupid...again.

No, didn't know that. That will give McClellan a good excuse to leave.

I am so sick of this..

why is he stepping down?

what is Bush doing now?

on Iraq and the WOT- the man stays firm, but everything else seems to be him chasing anything the freaking Dems or press tell him to do....

is it just me?

Card is going to be swamped with offers to spill hate and dirt on Bush.....

good grief...

I need coffee.........

where's saveliberty? I so need her right now....

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

(aren't I pleasant when I am de-caffienated?)

Me too. No offense to McClellan--it's a horrible job and he's done the best he can. But they could use somebody that doesn't look like a deer in headlights.
It was a patronage appointment. McClellan's mommy was a Dem, became a RINO, and Texas State Comptroller. Now she's gone total moonbat, left the GOP, and is running against the incumbent Republican governor as an independent. At this point, McClellan is expendable. Let him do press conferences for his mother's campaign.

MSM already calling it a "shakeup." Reporting it's because of Bush's "low poll numbers." The MSM gossip machine is trash. Soon they'll be saying that it's because Card should be indited..

You are so humble in your acceptance speech.

Do I detect sarcasm in there? Be careful. Cboldt needs an assistant to the dirty work! :-D

Great News.

Andy Card is great at getting people elected - not making policy.

The MSM is a joke.

Fox News: Time Mag Reports W Displeased with Top Advisors - Speculation: Andy Card to Treasury?

Here's only one example of this rumored to be in the works for awhile. The part of being displeased is editorialized, but rumors this resignation was intended have been out there long enough ...seems they were valid in that sense of intent.

nothing to do with polls or Coleman or anything of the like.

Fred Barnes will be very puffed up tonite on Brit's show,

As opposed to his usual humble, conciliatory self?

Card's speech reminded me of the movie "Being There," what with all the talk of seasons.
