Now Miss Marple, I asked a question that is very interesting. I am sure you can give some good input and hold the sarcasm.

FACT: Dick Cheney was one of the most conservative, outstanding Representatives we have had in our lifetime. Besides Cheney's outstanding conservative voting record, his vast experience across all levels of govt was a tremendous asset to George Bush.

QUESTION: Since Dick Cheney was so conservative, why did Cheney allow the direction of Bush to head hard left to leftist, socialist agendas?

That is a good question that deserves serious discussion.

It is also interesting to note that early on in the Bush admin, many claimed Cheney had far more influence than most VPs had. Some claimed Cheney was the real power--we all remember that.

This all begs the question again: what happened??? Cheney was indeed one of the most conservative elected officials we EVER had. So the question remains, how could one of the most conservative Republicans allow George Bush to take this admin into the history books as the biggest social welfare expander and spender of all time?

This is a huge mystery worthy of a good discussion.

Normally, I would have tought "about time!" but I am beginning to wonder if the problem is not at TOP - with the president really?

I confess I am having a lots of second thoughts about this guy....

Sure, he is better than Clinton!... but I began to have doubts when he nominated Miers... that was a decision that still hunts me. A decision that shows lack of guts, and not very strong convictions when it comes to choosing the "best" candidate for the job.

And I also thinking a lot about what a "compassionate conservative" really means.... I never paid attention to it really, but judging by the series of missteps of late... I am wondering, who is this guy? Is he a Globalist?... Is he on the pocket of the business camp?... etc, etc
