Muslims do not want to be like Westerners. They prefer Islam over Freedom. And anyone who says they prefer freedom over Islam is considered an Apostate, punishable by death, so that's why few speak out against it. It's sad that you do not see the self-contradiction here.
You have concluded that "Muslims" (all of them?) "do not want to be like Westerners" and "prefer Islam over Freedom". Yet at the same time you seem to understand that Muslims who speak out might be killed by their neighbors for doing so.
So on what basis have you concluded things about what Muslims "want"? On the basis of the coerced behavior of a majority of them.
That's like concluding that prison inmates do not like sunlight because if they did why would they spend so much time indoors?
