I know you're being sarcastic. I've heard that the day-labor pools in the Carolinas are filled with unwashed illegal immigrants. It's in every state. Maybe it appears worse in California this year, but there are nearly a half-billion people living south of the border in South and Central America, if not more.

When Iused to work in Imperial County one of my contractors was a Korean War Vet. His secretary was a Mexican woman who had married an American. They lived between El Centro and Brawley. When her elder father was feeling bad he would come to visit from south of Mexicali and they would call 9/11 to get his an ambulance ride to the emergency room where he would be treated at no expense.

Have you ever visited a hospital emergency room on a weekend? As a citizen, you would be out numbered!

Truth is John, you speak very clearly for all of us Americans. We deserve better than what's been foisted off on us and it's time we demand real solutions from our leaders.

I'm a bit confused. Are you one of those people, (Democrats, liberals, etc.), that thinks history began the moment President Bush was sworn into office? Were there no illegal aliens here before January 2001?
I'm not saying that I totally support the President's position on this issue, but I understand that any legislation will be a compromise of some sort that will not completely satisfy either side of the issue.

Okay, everyone, let's get one thing straight: there are no, and I repeat no, indigenous races in North, Central, or South America. Thousands of years ago, people first crossed the Bering Strait and eventually moved into North America, Central America, and finally, into South America. Those people included many of my ancestors. I have North American Indian lineage, which is the reason I have an ASIAN beard line.

I don't mean to insult the intelligence of most Freepers with the little history lesson, because most of you know about the Bering Strait. It needs to be mentioned early and often however, especially to the clowns carrying the banner.
