Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wisc., says he's not going to be deterred by the wave of demonstrations protesting his bill to crack down on illegal immigration.
Responding to a pro-illegal immigration demonstration in Milwaukee on Thursday, Sensenbrenner called the protest "impressive," but added: "Many have tried to confuse the difference between legal and illegal immigration."

These demonstrations did nothing but illustrate in capital letters that the US government has FAILED to provide border security for our country. A half-million Mexicans in the streets of LA should wake up the slumbering Senate members who thought their constituents may not notice that their cities are being taken over by lawbreakers.
In the meantime, the borders should be locked down tight so that we can get a handle on things.
Go get them, Sensenbrenner!
Every emoloyer of illegals belongs in prison, including homeowners that pick them up at the curb!
The immigrants coming here daily are coming because they recognize that this country offers opportunities they can't achieve in their own homeland.
I'm a small business owner that has contact with the illegals on a daily basis.
They have a good work ethic and it's gratifying to see them prosper giving an honest day's work without government intervention.
In response to you...plese read #144
Gee, why doesn't that come as a surprise.
*prolonged eye roll*
Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

If the border is not secured BEFORE any concessions are given to illegals here now it will cause a bigger flood of illegals, that would equal flash point at the border. The border is very tense now, and it is already a crisis. The first step has to be to secure the border. It can't be done even at the same time, the flood of illegals would just be too great, there would be an explosive situation.
I for one will fight tooth and nail any action to give any concessions to illegals here now before the border is really secured. We have had too many broken promises, there is no way I would ever trust the gov't to close the border, that is one thing I will have to see to believe.
Schools today are chuck full of socialists and world government types.
It's too late for this country, IMO. We're terminally ill.
And the GOP are the only ones that can at least slow down the march to anarchy.
But I want the ones that are here and are not troublemakers to be welcomed by the government...out in the open and not by pretending they're not here.
Better yet, let's have millions rally in Mexico and demand our rights there.
Too pathetic.
Hogwash! ...and typical 'Me Generation' venality. Your generation pushed for and voted in the politicians responsible for this current mess. The flower children let it happen on their watch back in the '60's and '70's when they were too busy getting high and dropping out to be bothered with preserving democracy or upholding American patriotism. Your generation has been the biggest voting-bloc going on 40 years now. What's the excuse?

If you've lost all hope, then by all means please quit trying to help by encouraging further cultural, social, and economic decline in this country by forced integration. Busing in poverty and crime from abroad certainly isn't the answer to any of our current problems. Western Civilization has always relied on superior technology, arms, and organization to combat the hordes. We just need the moonbats to quit shipping all of our technology and manufacturing overseas and we'll be just fine.
Keep up the good fight.
' This is a crisis that has reached the breaking point, the crisis is the ongoing flood. It is hard for those that don't live near the border to grasp that, "
While the border states bear the financial and social brunt of illegal immigration, I would challenge anyone in the contiguous 48 to find a roofing, restaurant, landscaping, concrete ,construction, meat packing plant or hotel company that does not employ a majority of Mexican workers.
The Washington politicians apparently don't get out much and they think this phenomenon is confined to 4 states-CA, AZ, NM and TX.
The numbers of illegal immigrants quoted have to be off by millions.
I grew up listening to the immigration hardship stories and love of this country from my grandparents.
I have tremendous respect for those that leave their country of origin and come here legally to start a new life.
And as much as I have empathy for those that are trying to better their lives and feed their families- why can't they go the route of my grandparents and enter legally ?
Anyone ??
I know there are illegals everywhere in the US, yet I have many tell me they are not a problem in their state at all, just good hard working folks, doing work Americans won't do. I have no idea if they really aren't a big problem elsewhere or if these people telling me this are living under a rock.
Just the fact of massive numbers of illegals crossing the border is not the major issue on the border though, it is the organized and unorganized crime that is all part of the illegal traffic on the border. The area I live in is most of the time a fairly quiet area. When both AZ and TX crack down on the illegal traffic it funnels right by my house. Then it gets pretty exciting- like a war zone. I really don't know how those in the areas of TX and AZ that really are constant hot spots can stand living there.
I do know each and every time a Border Patrol officer or any other LE in the border areas goes to work, they know there is a very good chance they may not survive the shift. As our country does nothing to really stop the chaos, the smugglers get bolder and crazier. When a politician acts like the border is not a problem I want to tell them to put on a BP unform and just go right out on patrol a few nights in one of the hot areas. I want to tell them to move their family into one of the hot areas, knowing that LE help is usually a minimum of one hour away if all heck breaks loose at their home. They don't think there is a problem and that those on the border are blowing it out of porportion, they just need to get a helping of life on the border.
The Senate will punt this....just like they do all meaningful issues.
No way on earth would you get anyone who knows anything about Mexico beyond what's on a travel brochure to protest in Mexico. The officials in Mexico do NOT have a sense of humor, trust me.
Whether we like it or not, the children of illegal aliens consider the USA their home.
"I was born here, and I feel that I am an immigrant" was one of the more memorable lines from this weekend's march in Los Angeles. Next...
The parents of these children are hard-working and display a family atmosphere and commitment you never see anymore among legal citizens of every other ethnic origin.
Family...do you mean gang families? or do you mean the second families created in this country due to unprotected sex? I know of 2 illegals who have "Mexican" families and accidental "American" families.
The real trick here is to garner that group as a voting bloc...beat the stupid Democrats to the punch and embrace them.
Didn't Jesus W. Bush, our lord and savior already try this before? And what did it get the moron-in-cheef? Signs featuring his likeness with a drawn-on pig nose featured at the rallies. That's what I call "strategery"!!!
