I had a hunch she would be charged. You just don't vanish with all of your kids (and otherwise alone), and turn up days later, hundreds of miles away, at the same time your spouse is murdered.
I'm no lawyer (obviously) but something here is up.
$20 says the MSM will find some way to use some element of this story to try to trash Christians.
Totally predictable.
Tragic. What appears to be a perfect marriage and family carries a dark secret which has yet to be revealed.
She was a logical choice as a suspect. But what was the motive?
Pressure of the ministry?
She wanted to be a teacher and principal said her first day of substituting was Tuesday, the day before the Pastor was found shot to death.
They had only been at this church since February 2005.
So we know very little about what might have been going on here.
I think one report said first degree pre-meditated
I have also heard of cases, where a woman did something like that because she was the victim of violent domestic abuse. What happens is: She has been the target of repeated abuse and finally snaps, when threatened with further abuse. A quite frequent behavior in such cases, is the woman panics, and does something stupid, like fleeing (tends to incriminate).
I am withholding judgement, until hearing more details about the circumstances. No, I do not consider abuse was impossible, just because the husband was a minister. I have heard of a number of cases, where a minister was engaging in domestic abuse, specifically wife beating and child beating.
Speechless, almost.
Just a guess. What sez she was depressed and was prescribed an SSRI by an MD?
b'shem Y'shua
hummm....there is more to this story.....someone waiting in the wings perhaps...

All of her husbands either beat her, committed adultry or molested her children too right?
Standing by for a 'burning bed' defense...
If this were happening in Aruba instead of the US, the minister would not be considered murdered. It would have been found that he drank himself to death with sacremental wine served during services. The bullet holes in his body, however, would remain an unsolved mystery.

SELMER, Tenn. - The wife of a minister found shot to death in their church's parsonage agreed Friday to return to Tennessee to face first-degree murder charges in his death, authorities said.
Mary Winkler was found with the couple's three young daughters late Thursday in Orange Beach, Ala., 340 miles south of their home.
Orange Beach Assistant Chief of Police Greg Duck said Friday she had waived extradition and would be sent back to Tennessee later in the day or on Saturday. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent John Mehr said authorities were charging her with murder in her husband's death after interviewing her during the night.

I'm just wondering how long it will take the Andrea Yates apologists/fan club here to blame the dead husband?
Maybe the good minister's wife got sick and tired of being "preached to" by the holy roller?
